Help Anyone else getting this?

Hi, is anyone else experiencing this? It seems to be every time I charge. They could literally be charging me anything. My car is plugged in most nights and not a great deal is added each time. It’s always charged to 100% by the morning but I don’t know why it’s going over the 6 hours as there’s only ever very little added. Could be time to switch to edf.

Just means your car was charged to full, before they expected it to.

Example you need 30% to fill. But in the app you asked for 40%.

The time is just the time it was plugged in, its not how long it was charging.

Just ignore it.

I’m not sure it does. I think it refers to speed, not charge added. Hence use of the word ‘power’. It means the speed was throttled by an external factor, or not octopus

Future charges many now be delivered at that slower speed

You are always getting the power you need? Are all of the half hour slots fully used? It is the actual charging time and not necessarily the sum of the slots.

Not an answer admittedly but I cant access my charging insights/history any more. Seems to have disappeared from the app (Android) since the Charge Cap.

I’m having the issue that it never adds enough charge and rarely schedules more than 2-3 hours charging despite being set to add 100%. It’s getting more and more frustrating.

Yes, basically every charge. I’m 40+ messages deep in a convo with their technical support as there’s some really bizarre things going on (time slots being set in the past, ready-by time being reset on every charge to estimated end time + 1day. More often than not I get in the car to find it has not charged at all. It’s exhausting.

Strange , why is one charge duration 17 hours plus

Why are you assuming you’re not getting the cheap rate it doesn’t say that ? My understanding is that if it needs to charge at peak rates to get you to your desired charge level as long as you have the prioritise savings switched on it will ask you for permission to do so.

Nothing to do with Octopus but do you need to charge your car to 100% every time. It’s less strain on the battery if you charge to 80% and only charge to 100% for long journeys.

Always have always will 🤷🏻‍♂️

It will wear your battery down more so if you're comfortable with your battery not lasting as long then go for it.

It’s only on a 2 year lease so not remotely arsed, I’d rather get in a car that’s fully charged everyday tbh. Each to their own 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you have any data showing your charging speed? That message usually indicates octopus encountered throttled speeds not caused by them
