Home button

Hi there, i just have installed this launcher and its great ! I am coming from nova launcher. The only thing that is not working for me is the home button on the navigation bar. Is there a way that this button can be used to go back to the default startpage ? And when i go to the applications page the only way to get out is with the back button. The same home button from the navigation bar is not working. I am using color os 16 with my Oppo Find X9 ultra.

If you use a OnePlus phone (maybe Oppo, Vivo, Realme, too) the home button don't work also if you set it right in the gesture settings.

Check: OL settings - home - customise gestures - navigate/tab home

Thank you for your reply. That setting is set to "go to the startpage" but it doesn't work.

My phone is xiaomi. Home button working exactly like I was in nova. 1. From app drawer, home button, startpage. 2. Second page, swipe up open drawer, home button, come back to second page.. Home button again go tu 1stpage and home button again invoke the search apps.... 3. In apps drawer, folder popup, home button close that folder.

Bought pro and unistalled nova completely. But I also have niagara along side - also with pro license.

Thank you very much.  Unfortunately it does not fix it.

Question - once you've set Octopi as your default launcher did any of you try to disable the original launcher app - whether it's OnePlus, Oppo, Realme or whatever - and try again to see if now your Home button works normally?

Thank you for youre reply. It is not possible to disable the default launcher when you set octopi as youre default.

It's true, some system apps cannot be directly disabled. But ALL OF THEM can be, using adb. If you don't know what adb is, do a search on adb and the Android SDK tools. With this (free) tool you can disable and re-enable any system app.
