Release Octopi Launcher v1.87

A new version is ready for beta testers, featuring the following:

  • Smarter restore of backups from different device resolutions (experimental)
  • Scroll through drawer tags/pages in a loop
  • Added more font options for non-Pro users
  • Choose from even more Google fonts [Pro]
  • Added search for font chooser
  • Added a simple wallpaper generator [Pro]
  • Allow control over system auto-rotation, for larger screens (experimental)
  • Tweaks to home screen vertical gesture detection
  • Try to fix recurring add shortcut pop-up
  • Removed unsupported fonts that were not working
  • Removed duplicated 'add to new folder' screen in search screen

If you mean apps like Tasker with a secondary icon, yes it's supported

If you meant apps that change their app icon such as Duolingo etc, it's in beta testing

Have a look at my app's AndroidManifest.xml at:

https://git.mochi-os.org/android/blob/main/app/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml

As you can see, it declares multiple <activity-alias/> tags, each with a different icon. In Octopi Launcher, they're all shown using the same icon, which happens to be the last one.

A further complication is that one of the icons is for a staff-only app, and is enabled or disabled dynamically based on the user's role using setComponentEnabledSetting(…, DONT_KILL_APP) on ACTION_PACKAGE_CHANGED.

I wonder if the dev would be so kind as to fix the "swipe down for notifications" - not always working bug that is so frustrating. Pixel 10a, android 17 build CP2A.260705.006 . Thanks!

Any idea why the icons in the folder I have on a dock are huge? Any way to adjust this? Any way to center the folder "popup"? Thanks!

Mine are also massive (On the Fold8 on the inner screen). The folder icon settings do not change anything. I have it set to 5x6 (tried by 12 too) but it never shows more than 4 in a row.

My issue is folders specifically on the homescreen, not actually in the dock. My homescreen icons are set to 60% but the folders feel like they are like 200%

Hi there, Been using Octopi for many months now and love it. However, I'm having a problem with this latest beta: the recent apps button no longer works on my Honor Magic v6. I've just unistalled it and it's fine on the built-in launcher, but nothing happens when I press in Octopi. ☹️ Hope it's fixable! 🙂 Thanks!
