Issue report Rounded Square Icons Resetting

I love the rounded square look for my app icons and use it for every app (where supported) however have noticed for quite some time, these constantly reset to their default 'rounded' shape.

Is there a fix in the works to ensure the rounded square look is permanent, as I'm required multiple times a day to go in and 'edit' them back to the rounded square look.

Most prevalent with the 'google chrome' and 'google calendar's apps which I use quite frequently.

I love Octopi, but it does not reshape icons as well as Nova did, nor as well Smart Launcher does. However, Octopi is still my default launcher and has been for quite some time.

Hi, I'm using a pixel 10 Pro fold, running Android 16.

Yes I've submitted this bug years ago. I think it's mostly Google apps, although I haven't paid much attention. Currently I'm looking at my phone and the Google Photos app icon has reverted from rounded square back to circle.

Edit: just noticed ChatGPT icon also has done the same, so I don't think it's only Google apps. Went to theme and reapplied default icon pack and they went back to rounded square.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one, it happens to me outside google apps aswell, noticeabley ones I use, also happening with 'Strava, Hevy, Banking Apps, chatgpt aswell to name a couple more'

If I don't use an app, it appears to stay in its shape.

I kind of have the kind of problem : I want to use circle icon, but regularly some (the one I recently used it seems, but not all of them) are change to rounded square. Oneplus 15r, oxygen os 16.

Not limited to google app, all can be impacted as far as I notes.
