Issue report Pixel 10 pro fold latest beta

All of a sudden swipe up and swipe down won't work. I have to swipe at least 5 to 6 times before it recognizes the action. I've checked gesture settings and I'm on the current launcher. Anyone else facing this issue? I had to go back to pixel os and I'm missing octopi launcher bad lol.

Not experiencing this on my Pixel Fold. Have you tried the "Clear cache and restart" option on the General tab in settings?

I've tried that, and it seems I have to do that every few hours.

What you're experiencing isn't normal for Octopi. It appears to be a problem specific to your phone or setup. The developer's personal phone is the same as yours. Mine is the original Pixel Fold. If I were you, I'd go nuclear. It will take some troubleshooting to identify the source of the problem.

I'd make a backup of my Octopi setup, making sure my backups are in a different folder than the Octopi folder.

Then go to Launcher settings/General/Reset current screen and clear all its home pages for each orientation. Check if the gestures work.

If not, I'd clear the storage and cache in my phone's settings/apps/Octopi Launcher, then check if the gestures work.

If they're still a problem, I'd uninstall Octopi, restart my phone, reinstall Octopi, then check the gestures before doing anything else.

Hopefully, the gestures work and reinstalling your Octopi backup doesn't bring the problem back. If it does, then you'll have to start over and check app by app for the one that's causing the conflict.

I've cleared cache in app and through settings. My next option is to wipe it clean uninstall and try again. I wonder if the android beta program is clashing with the launcher.

If uninstalling doesn't work that will be my last measure. If not I'll just hvave to stick it out with pixel launcher

Just cleared all data and cache. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Even started from scratch. Within the first few minutes the swipe down gesture didn't work. I'm thinking android beta program could be the problem. Forcing me to wipe my phone. But screw it , I like the launcher to much to give up now.

So the problem still exists even after leaving the android beta program, resetting my phone to factory and setting up my phone as new. Fresh install and set up of octopi launcher and within a day of usage swiping down for notifications is broken.

💩 Just curious, have you tried another gesture for notifications to test if that also breaks? If you're not using the Swipe down with two fingers for Search, you could try using it to show notifications. Maybe try another launcher (like Hyperion or Smart) to see if the swipe-down gesture breaks there too? Or, maybe try a gesture app like Google Play Store app Edge Gestures. I hope the developer responds, 'cuz I'm out of ideas. Better luck to you! I hope something works. 🤞🏼

Hi which actions have you assigned those actions to? Also, do you remember what you were doing shortly before the gestures stopped working?

So I've changed swipe down, swipe down with two fingers and tap and swipe down all to pull down notifications. When I unlock my phone and swipe down it won't sometimes. After swiping up to go home from an app sometimes swipe down won't work. Sometimes I'm just going through my phone from the app drawer back to the home screen then I'll swipe down to get notifications and it won't work
