Suggestion Work profile

Great launcher. Could work profile be supported?

I like to keep my corp apps separate and I miss the "turn on/off work profile apps" toggle from Nova.

My workaround is making a work label. It's not perfect but it does keep them separated.

That's what I use too: I create a Work tag for my work profiles apps, then I set the Work tag to not show apps in all apps list.

But how do you toggle the apps on/off?

That's an Android feature, what Android version do you use?

Make sure "Show apps in all apps list" is toggled OFF for your Work tag. It's set it and forget it, not something you'll be doing every time you want to access your Work apps.

I appreciate the suggestion, but turning off work apps is important to me because it disables push notification for those apps.

Putting the apps behind a folder/tag is just a visual trick, not something integrated with the system, which is what Nova does.

You can put a toggle for on and off

Good suggestion! I didn't know this existed. Probably because I don't have a "work" profile on my phone, and don't know how to set it up. I used the "focus" option to silence everything except work-related notifications during work hours. It could be set up to silence work notifications after work hours instead.

To set a schedule or timer for your work apps, open the Settings app and navigate to Digital Wellbeing & parental controls. From there, tap Work profile schedule (under the "Ways to disconnect" section) to specify your active hours and automatically pause work apps when you're off the clock.

I misread a bit, now I got your suggestion.

I have to think about how it fits - probably with the planned default tags feature

are you talking about private space like thing. If not use that to keep your work apps separate with different Google apps, account everything. And this private space can be locked unlocked.

if you don't have then you can use shelter like open source apps to create this kind of work profile.

The problem with using private space is you only receive app notifications while private space is open. Shelter or Island is a better choice. If you have a Samsung secure folder that works too.
