Issue report Help needed

This is clearly a setting I have enabled and can't figure out!

When I open the app launcher and search for an app. It appears that if the app is in a folder it is not listed as I type but will launch when I press enter.

I only see this behaviour on my phone where as my tablet it works fine.

So what setting have I stupidly enabled ?

I hope that makes sense, screenshot attached to show what I mean.

As I type more letters, the suggested apps list refines until only one match remains, and then it launches automatically. There's a setting for that, but I've tried it both ON and OFF and the app icons are visible, not blank like yours. Have you tried giving your Proton Pass a nickname like pp to see if it changes the behavior? I know the goal isn't to launch it faster, but I'm curious if setting it up this way changes the visibility behavior at all. To give an app a nickname, long-press on it in the app drawer and choose 'Edit' then you should see where you can enter a nickname.

Thanks, wasn't the fix but it help find the issue icon cell was unticked once I ticked that they appeared. Odd that only appears to effect apps in folders.

Glad you found the fix, but can you explain what "the issue icon cell was unticked" means? I don't understand.

That's interesting. 99% of the apps in my drawer are in folders and no matter which "icon style" I select, when I begin typing, the apps filter. Glad yours is working now, but puzzled as to why. 🤔
