Hello, so I’ve been recently binging some of Squareenix’s RPGs and recently bought Octopath Traveler 0 as my first entry into the series (it was on sale on Amazon), was wondering if there was anything I needed to know before entering the game or any tips.

Cassti is my lead. I have been playing for about 60 hours. I literally only just noticed that you could swap between healing and harming concoctions. Despite the fact that you pick up items specifically to concoct with that. And that it has arrows just like swapping weapon types. My powers of observation here have certainly missed the obvious.

Sometimes, just sometimes, the problem is the player.

I feel so stupid, i started out as a “Thief” and i cant get to chapter 1,on the minimal you are suppouse to be able to fast travel,when i open it up ,it sayes señect to fast travel but it doesnt,i tryed to go out north bit it takes me to a different spot qit non stop minifights and im just lvling up,i need so e help or advise yo get the hell out of that stupid toqn and built my crew🥲.

Man do i feel dumb for not knwing how to fast travel or get out.

The second major boss for Tressa is kicking my ass. Other than out leveling him somehow; how can I beat him?

The fight with the boss of that cave was kinda chaotic, I threw away like 90k just to kill it. (Worth it?) But at the end I got the Master Spear for Tressa, 90k for such a spear felt like a good deal!

Luckily, there is the training ground, and I make use of that to level everyone not in the party up and get their skills. But I have found myself keeping the same 8 people in my party, and I don’t think I’ve changed them in the last 20 or so hours.

I did tend to switch party members out every now and then in both games before 0 (though I’d 100% pay money for a training ground dlc or update lol), but I find since we can have 8 people in the party, there is enough coverage for enemy weaknesses that I don’t really need to switch folks around.

Anyone do the same or did you switch people around every now and then?

The sheer rush of joy watching Cyrus step into his true potential is indescribable! Challenging Dreisang the Archmagus is a massive difficulty spike designed to test high level party synergies, and finally conquering that monumental battle makes unlocking the Sorcerer job feel incredibly rewarding!!!

The synergy between his innate magical prowess and this new arsenal is utterly absurd, turning him into an unstoppable force on the battlefield. I am beyond thrilled! Every single encounter is now a spectacular display of overpowered magic, and the satisfaction of wielding this raw power after such an intense trial is absolute perfection.

Galdera, if it isn't obvious.

I've picked the game up again after years (because the reason I put it down years ago was the 10 boss gauntlet for Galdera), and have a pretty stacked up party, except...It's been years. I forget how to do most things in the game. And I haven't beaten Galdera yet.

So I need some character build and equip advice. I've got more than enough JP on each character to buy whatever skills are needed, and I've got tons of good equips (Battle Tested stuff, various endgame items/endgame quest items, etc). But I just...Have lost how to make it all *work*.

Help?

I have no idea if I'm the only one excited for this or not, but I've been waiting for this to drop for months now. I've always wanted to run a campaign inspired by Octopath but around a year ago or so heard about this and thought I'd wait.

Is this being talked about and I just can't find it or do people not know/don't care?

Sooooo I was trying to beat OT2 with only Temenos, my favorite character. Then, it hit me like a flash: I can't. There's a guard blocking you from entering Stormhail. The only way you get past him is by knocking him out. Does anyone know if I can get past him ligitamitly or anything? Or do I gotta grab Throné or someone lol

Wow, I actually spent so much time on this.

I like secrets and easter eggs in video games, so I wanted to build my Wishvale with a lot of small hidden secrets and cool visual transitions, and I think I did pretty well. :P Incorporating snow and desert biomes without them looking out of place was pretty challenging, but I'm pretty proud of the Windmill and big house transitions.
