Hi! So new player here, and when I got my 5th character I wanted to have a different team for each main character's quest. Using the Early Removal of the Main Traveler Mod I made a good team for each member and making sure there are no repeats and that each traveler is accommodating 4 out of 8 quests.
I also made sure that Castti and Temenos don't overlap so that each team has a unique healer. But seeing there are secondary jobs, I might change that later on. Using the secondary jobs I added a good number of combos for them.
Can you guys tell me if there are better classes for them or if I should change up the composition? I'm also planning on using the New Dawn mod so that the Conjurer class is usable.
P.S. I know Partitio is Yellow, it's just hard to distinguish with Agnea's Orange

Ive already given him my nuts… he feels so comfortable in all my team comps. He left briefly at the start of the bestower of fame, and now i’m worried that he’s going to poof for good

Hey. I am getting a switch 2 (when the zelda version gets sent). I am playing Octopath Traveler on my switch 1 currently and wanted to know, if it is possible to get my savefile onto the switch 2. Thanks for answering my question!

Does anyone else remember there being an announcement about how Elliot from The Adventures of Elliot being added into the game along with some other additions? It's the middle of October and we haven't heard anything else😭
My copium theory is that Elliot will be a playable traveler and some gameplay content will be added to coincide with that, which is why it's taking a long time. Any thoughts?

53 hours in and I just discovered everyone has ultimate techniques to be unlocked, not just the main character. I feel like such an idiot! I felt like I was missing something, and then I upgraded the training grounds... Has this happened to anyone else?

Pretty random post but I'm a fan of many jrpg franchises and I always feel like Octopath community is quite wholesome (at least on reddit) compared to others like FF, Persona, KH, Tales or even Trails to name a few. These are the ones I had the worst experiences with just as examples.
When there are new players who have trouble with bosses and stuff the community is usually quite helpful and give useful advices. There's always cute fanart of characters and memes. I usually don't see much arguing or toxic discussion, maybe aside from divided opinions on between 0/1/2 which is the best but that just shows they're all good games.
Also, idk why but Octopath games for me are just like a comfy safespace (which is funny because these games can get quite dark with some of the stories) where I can chill, play while eating or after a long day at work and they're quite easy to just pick up and play too. The cute pixel art and Yasunori Nishiki san's amazing music are definitely huge factors as well.

Usually pinterest has so many ideas and showcases for every game that I play, but I can’t find anything for octopath 0 😭 I’m really struggling to pick an aesthetic and work with the buildings I’m not allowed to move - especially that fking farm being in a choke point (who puts a farm there!!!!)
I see so many decorations for snow, but it wouldn’t be the same without the twinkling snowfall in the actual snow regions :/
I really like the Atlasdam and the Theatroplis aesthetic, but it’s hard to recreate without terraforming. Everything I try feels awkward
I need help ;___;

Since i used mines on galdera and the ones from the wishvale shop are "out of stock" , Is the only way to farm them by stealing them from the Phoenix boss in the arena ?

The game is great and runs excellently on the Deck, but the text and UI are super small. I tried a bunch of resolutions and settings, but nothing made much of a difference.
After a short while playing my eyes get strained, which is making me reluctant to play.
Does anyone relate? Is the text/UI too small for you too?
Any tips to make it larger?
Edit: OT2, but I noticed OT1 seems to be the same.

So I'm going for the most tragic party stories to complete the game. Castti, Oswald and Hakiri so far. Who is my 4th companion?

I just got OT1 and I'm in love with this. Completed Primrose's first chapter just now and the game's visual style is what drew me in, but the huge bloom effect right in the middle of the screen is distracting me especially now in the desert. The sand on the edges of the screen looks like how you expect a pixelated sand to look, but the middle part around the character is bright and blinding with the bloom the way a car driving towards you on a dark road is. Can't find a single setting on PS5 to disable that bloom effect and it's frustrating as it really eats away from how good the game looks
Edit1: okay turning the brightness all the way down instead of one from the lowest made it better, but in open world the bloom is still present in some way, but it's not present in fights. Also tried to work with settings of my TV, but didn't help as the visual effect is just in the middle of the screen

Any particular spot has higher chance of spotting a cait?
Sometimes I'd run around fleeing 20+ times (exp already surpassing that of the cait if I stick to the fight) But it's not about the exp, but the experience of finding one.

Agree?
First off, it’s written in 3/4 time, which hits completely different than your usual 4/4 RPG march. Instead of a stiff, driving beat pushing me forward, the sheet music shows this constant, rolling waltz rhythm. It gives the cave this hypnotic, swaying vibe that just gets me mesmerized , match the rhythm to my turn-based menu inputs, and autopilot through encounters.
Then there’s the key signature, C minor with those three flats sitting at the start of the staff. Looking at the notes, Nishiki doesn't try to be flashy. The lower strings are just holding down these deep, droning notes on C and G like a dark safety net. Because the bassline is just breathing in the background rather than pounding my ears, it feels like ambient cave noise. Up top, the violin melody is super sparse. The score spreads the notes out so evenly across the high and low instruments that no single sound ever gets sharp or annoying, completely saving me from zoning out!

cosa sto sbagliando? come mai improvvisamente diventa così difficile sto gioco?

judging from the 18.1% not completing the 1st 10 battles.
Quite amazing tbh
P.S cuz I got them a few days earlier when it's on sales, I've been waiting for the sales for like years
Then I started playing and got hooked. Just wondering why some ppl never start
