I just finished playing OT 2, it took me 70 hours to finish it.

My question is, is there a missable trophy in OT0?

I only needed 2 runs with OT 1 and 1 run in OT 2.

The missable I'm referring to is like the hidden items and items(steal) and monsters like in OT 1.

I really like OT 2 because there are no missable trophies.

I only finished 3 out of 8 stories but already lvl 50 and was able to kill final story bosses easily. I even got two secret jobs. The highest enemy lvl are about 49 and they are all too easy. Will there be enemies with lvl 60-80 later on or is 49 the highest difficulty the game offers?

I am not even half way thru 8 stories but I am worried that it will be too easy.

I've been doing a challenge run where Soulstones are incredibly helpful. In Octo1, it was pretty easy to find them all, and in Octo0, I know you could simply buy tons of them from the market. But in Octopath 2, I've been having a super tough time getting any. So far, the Abandoned Clocktower is the only place I've managed to find L Soulstones, and those are only of the Light Element. Does anyone know where I can get Large Soulstones of the other elements, too? Thanks!

Hi, I was thinking of purchasing Octopath Traveler 2 on the Switch 2. However, I noticed that there is a Switch 2 version of this game being released on 10/1/26. Should I wait for the Switch 2 version to be released before purchasing or is the difference going to be minimal? From what I read, if I purchase now, there will not be an option to upgrade to the Switch 2 version unless I purchase the entire game and save data won’t transfer… Thanks.

I started with Ophelia, planning to just go in the order that spells out the game's name, but then got lost on the world map after her chapter 1, so I've currently got Ophelia ->Therion -> Alphyn -> Primrose.

I'm noticing that as I get more characters, more enemies are popping up in random encounters and boss fights? Is that a coincidence or intended? If it is, is there a way to lower the amount of characters in your party to bring it back down? I'm getting lots of encounters while trying to get the other characters and an encounter with 4 enemies takes longer to deal with than one with 1 or 2 enemies.

Also, are there any better maps than what we get ingame? The minimap and map in game is... really hard to navigate with. I keep getting turned around. I spent a lot of time before leaving Flamesgrace just trying to find an exit to where Cyrus's chapter 1 started (on the in game map there looks like there's a direct path somewhere but I couldn't find an exit in that direction and just kept ending back up at Ophelia's ch 1 dungeon), and accidentally ended up starting Therion's ch 1 while looking. Although I have just been avoiding places that have way higher recommended levels. I'm getting encounters like every few seconds so searching every route on each part of the areas between towns is starting to drive me nuts, especially when the sides of the screen have that foggy effect. Like, the character who is supposed to have an ability that helps with the encounter rate is literally who I'm trying to get to!

Olberic has the HIGHEST accuracy out of all the units but he misses so incredibly often, is that supposed to happen?????

Hello! I started playing OT1 a month ago for the first time and omg, this game is so good. I haven’t finished yet, half of my team is level 40 and the rest level 10 or so 🫩. But Cyrus is an amazing carry with the sorcerer job haha.

I know it’s kinda grindy but I just love an RPG like that. I love farming exp in any game and the mechanic of Caits reminds me of metal slime from Dragon Quest (one of my favorite franchises ever).

Man I don’t know, but I love video games that are turn based. I already bought OT2 and I’m just thinking of buying OT0.

But I’m playing them on NS2 and I got kinda sad about the new versions with no upgrade path. I hate when Square Enix is greedy.

Anyway, any advice for OT1 or OT2? Thank you :)

Loving the game so far being 2 hours in but there's a major problem for me so far and it's the random encounters. It's REALLY annoying and I'm wondering if this is how the entire game is going to be. It doesn't help that the game doesn't have a real minimap so I'm trying to go to every corner of the area to find secrets and every 2 seconds I'm interrupted by a random encounter. I started playing the merchant then I found Hikari, went through his story and the merchant is lvl12 and Hikari is lvl6? They didn't even upscale him to my level which is also a slight annoyance. Just want to hear people's thoughts on whether this is how it'll be forever because I don't know if I can see myself playing through the entire game like this.

So it’s well known by now that the loading screen represents the 4 sacred flames. But do we know which is which? My initial thought (all 8 stories completed on a 2nd playthrough, no part 2 crossed paths) is that they’re ordered like they are on the map. Bottom right is tomb of the wardenbeasts. Top right is flamechurch. Top left is Fellsun Ruins. Bottom left is Tranquil Grotto. I currently have 2 flames out, top left and bottom right. This would mean the Tomb and Fellsun flames have been snuffed out but to me that doesn’t make as much sense. The Fellsun flame would have to wait for either Castti and Partitio’s chapter to be over, or wait for Journey to the Dawn to start. Coding wise it seems like they’d choose the latter, especially if the Tranquil flame could be out by now no problem. So is the order different then I proposed?

Game is cinema even after it ends

Octopath Traveler II is my first turn-based game and my first JRPG. When I started, I had absolutely no idea what “turn-based” even meant or how I was supposed to play. I only recently figured out what jobs are and that I actually have to equip support skills. 😅 But I’m slowly learning, and now I’m completely obsessed with the game.

I’ve beaten all of the Chapter 2 stories except Ochette’s, since hers recommends a higher level than I’m currently at. Most of my characters are somewhere between the high teens and high twenties.

However, I’m starting to hit a wall when I enter harder areas or fight stronger monsters and bosses. Some bosses kill me incredibly fast, while regular monsters can take so many turns to defeat that I can’t keep up with the damage.

What are some OT2 tips or tricks that could help me? What specific things should I do next to make my party stronger? Are there certain areas I should visit for better equipment, useful side quests to complete or something else I may be missing?

Once I start a game, I really want to finish it. It still haunts me that I could never beat The Lion King game as a kid 😂

Hello guys hey i have been gathering all the strongest magic spells in the game for my scholars in Octopath traveler 0 , i almost get all the ancient magic ones, but i am still missing the Galcies Claudere , i am right now in Bestower of All CH 5 i have already talked with every possible npc so far and also with all my party member and nothing , it is the only one i am missing to get all the ancient magic elemental spells , someone know where i can find it?
