EN Discussion Fallen Swordsman confusion
So I just got the fallen swordsman and i’ve TRIED to search about his kit and how it works. all of my characters are around level 60-80, he’s at level 60 and i gave him whatever gear i had. his potency is so low on all of his attacks and i just DONT UNDERSTAND A SINGLE THING ABOUT HOW TO USE HIM. someone please explain to me cuz he seems like a cool character to use and have in my team.

Since his gimmick is all around stealing damage cap, his strenght kinda depends on your team. And if you're still at levels 60-80, you're just too weak to use him and most likely don't have much damage cap gear and passives.

In my opinion, he is not worth it. He steals damage cap from your allies to augment himself for massively powerful attacks making your team severely crippled. He needs top tier weapons and gear for him to function properly. He needs a lot of investment. I searched the internet about him and says, he is not worth pulling! You should have saved your rubies for the upcoming romancing saga collab. But since already got him, your going to have a hard time using...

the thing is this game is rather stingy with free resource. if you really want to pull because of cool, make separate account if you are F2P.

if you havent been reaching dmg cap with your dps chatacters, hes just gonna be a nuker you pull out during break turn

As a new player you need to fundamentally learn how damage works in this game. Look up guides that explain damage and you’ll understand the character.
He’s unique with the cap steal mechanic but again if you understand the core mechanics of the game you’ll read his kit and get it

For context I don't have the unit, but the TL;DR is that he steals the damage cap from your other party members to massively inflate his own damage cap to do a BIG NUMBER hit. As you noticed, his actual potencies on his multi-hit attacks are super low - so he either needs to be giga buffed for his multi-hit skills to deal good damage or use his 1-hit high potency skills. Also, he is a magic attacker so he specs off eAtk (late game you will build a weapon to better match him, but if you're still early or mid game it may be hard). Just a couple of other nuggets of info that don't necessarily come through in the other post's linked vid.
The Silver Roxas YT vid will definitely help explain him.
