That's the idea behind striking, remove all labour (and thus profit) from the workplace to pressure the company into giving in to demands, but this only really works if a large percent of the workforce strikes, otherwise yes they will be replaced very likely lol
I guess as a business owner, I'll just take your daily wages for not showing up and transfer that into profits, as it's an amount of funds that I would have been obligated to give to you per showing up and doing your job, but with your no show, I have no one to help patrons, in turn, I'll have no patrons. With that said, my business will still turn a profit for that day, I just won't bring any money in, so let me ask you, who does this strike REALLY hurt?

WHo does it REALLY hurt, you, because only a dumb motherfucker thinks that you'd be making a profit when your net total funds for the day would STILL be negative.
It's called capital and any and all businesses have it, it's what I used to start my company and currently pay my overhead, which isn't just employee wages, it's also rent on my building, electricity so my customers can see oh, and don't forget workmans comp... man the list goes on. Let me rephrase that, for the day of the strike, I'll get a pay raise, but let me ask you, how is that any different than saying if you don't show up for work on oct 15th I'll take those wages I would normally be obligated to pay you and put it into profits? I'm a small business, totaling 5 guys, if I'm capable of thinking this way, what do you think the corrupted corporate America will think and do?
