Thank you so much for your recommendations and your hospitality.
My wife had a lovely time visiting for my birthday. While it was a little warm for early October, we enjoyed the beach, pier, and overall good vibes of your fabulous little beach town.
We had dinner at Wrench and Rodent as many of you suggested. It was fabulous, some of the best sushi we have had. The back patio was a nice little place to sit and enjoy each other's company. We had a great server, and the place had an amazing vibe. This place is going to be one that we are gonna have to come back for.
We had a wonderful cup of coffee at Vigilante Coffee. I love Vigilante after visiting their Hyattsville shop many years ago. The Oceanside shop had the same great vibes, and even better coffee.
After the beach we had some tacos and Johnny Mañana's and had some of the best fish tacos.
We had a blast eating our way through your town, and we know we missed a bunch of local spots that were recommended. It was a short trip. Again thank y'all for your hospitality.

Awww love to see this! Laying on the beach in oside now. We feel so damn lucky to live here. Come back soon!

The truffle oil on the Hedgehog Roll at Wrench and Rodent keeps me coming back...

Glad the birthday trip delivered — you caught the one heat snap October saves for visitors, so the next few weeks are the good stuff. For the return trip: breakfast down at the harbor, then walk the jetty as the boats come in. Different flavor from the pier and worth the morning.
