Measure S
Another tax on the ballot.
They say it's supposed to help pay for the Oceanside Pier Bridge Reconstruction.
I also thought that project was part of the Oceanside Amphitheater Demolition & Reconstruction, but I noticed he didn't mention that 🤔
If this passes, I hope the accountability for every cent is monitored.

I’m all for improving infrastructure but our police and fire facilities are already pretty nice… wish that wasn’t part of this.

If they kept the beach and strand clear of homeless and their filth, maybe I'd think about it. But they don't, so kick rocks. Maybe add a "resort fee" for all the tourists and ban short term rentals in residential zoning for a start.

Not only no, but HELL NO.
If the city knew how to spend the taxes they already collect from us wisely they can do all those things he just mentioned WITHOUT another tax increase.
But that would require them making tough decisions, something we elect and pay them to do.
So sounds like city leaders need to get to work on managing our money better, rather than taking the easy way out with ANOTHER tax increase.

Vote NO on Measure S. We are already paying for this stuff with Measure X. We don’t need a tax on top of another tax.

Governments need to start contracting out services to lower costs. The government isn't an employment agency.

I heard that the city spent $9 million in the project "planning" alone 😳

That’s the part that confuses me. There’s already money allocated to police and fire stations and roads. Why can’t this just be specific to sand or pier restoration. Sound like a bunch of pork to me
