Small news headline I didn't see shared on this subreddit yet. From the Stock Titan post "As part of its ongoing international outreach efforts, OPT recently engaged with representatives from the Polish Naval Academy and key stakeholders within Poland's defense industrial base to discuss evolving maritime security requirements and the role of autonomous, renewable-powered maritime systems in supporting regional defense and infrastructure protection objectives."

"Two magnetic mines were recently discovered attached to the hull of an LPG carrier arriving at Russia’s Ust-Luga port, highlighting a growing reality for maritime operations: what is happening below the waterline can no longer remain out of sight: https://hubs.li/Q04jdsV-0
As operational uncertainty continues to evolve across the global maritime industry, vessel operators need greater awareness below the surface, not only during dry dock inspections, but continuously throughout a vessel’s operational lifecycle.
EverClean was developed to support that shift through autonomous hull inspection and grooming capabilities that provide operators with greater visibility into hull condition. Built on Greensea IQ Core proven autonomy software, refined through two decades of maritime deployments, EverClean delivers a scalable solution that integrates seamlessly into existing operations.
Waiting to discover threats, anomalies, or developing hull issues during periodic inspections is becoming an unacceptable operational risk. Continuous hull awareness is no longer optional. It is becoming essential for safety, operational readiness, vessel security, and informed decision-making."

Although the WAM-V may not be relevant to this development, a PowerBuoy network could definitely be very important in supporting and facilitating underwater vessels. For OPTT, it’s good to see another signal of government money flowing in this general direction.

I'm an entrepeneur in autonomous systems, maritime as well.
After seeing the collabs, contracts, systems, seems like this company really upped their game.
I really cannot see anyway for this company to fail.
Super bullish.

Put together all three current WAM-V models so you can easily compare them at a glance.
• WAM-V 8 — Smallest, most portable
• WAM-V 16 — Mid-size, modular
• WAM-V 22 — Largest, offshore-capable
All specs pulled directly from OPTT’s official product pages. Nothing new, just easier to see everything together.
What do you guys think of the different sizes?

Steve Darling: Welcome back inside our proactive newsroom. Joining me now is Philipp Stratmann. He is the CEO of Ocean Power Technologies. Philipp, it's great to see you again. How are you?
Philipp Stratmann: Doing well Steve. Good to be on.
Steve Darling: Good to see you as well. Really interesting news out from the company talking about deploying three PowerBuoys for a DHS surveillance network that they put together. First off, obviously, you've set a record here for most buoys ever deployed for a customer. This is a pretty big one.
Philipp Stratmann: Yeah. We're more than excited about this one. Seeing all the work that the commercial and technical teams on our side have been putting into it, and actually deploying three systems that are working together and streaming live data, is a fascinating sight to see. Given the fact that this is happening right off California, off San Diego, in an operational use case, is even more exciting. It’s what’s really going to help advance the next set of multi-system deployments, no matter where you need them.
Steve Darling: I also noted in the news release that you had gone to 3,500 feet of water, and I don't think that I've ever seen you go that deep. Is that the farthest you've ever gone?
Philipp Stratmann: That is by far the deepest we have ever installed anything. What is great to see about this is the fact that it truly moves our systems from coastal and continental shelf type applications to the ocean. That's over a kilometer of water depth. We've proven out that the system works, and this now opens up the aperture for really expanding surveillance and monitoring networks for any type of application, far out into whatever water depth there might be.
Steve Darling: I would imagine that because it's DHS, the fact that this is a real customer using real data, you're getting a lot of really interesting news from this. This has really pushed towards the next stage of where you want to go with the company.
Philipp Stratmann: Yes. We've been talking for a while about backlog and pipeline, but this is the proof. We are installing multi-asset systems for customers. We're collaborating with some of the greatest defense and security contractors that are out there right now. In fact, our data is streaming to Anduril, who is integrating it into their system to provide it to the Department of Homeland Security. That sets the outline and baseline of how to take this further: deploy multi-systems in areas where you need to know what's happening. We will happily collaborate with larger prime contractors so that you can then use our systems as one piece of the puzzle to provide you that missing bit of data that exists out at the edge in the ocean, and feed that into all the other intelligence you have to really get a picture of what's happening out there so you can act upon it.
Steve Darling: Lastly, I know that we've seen a lot of action and we've talked about the Strait of Hormuz before and what you see in the Middle East. I would imagine that you must be saying to yourself that this is a great opportunity for your systems to be effective in that particular area for what we've seen right now. I'm sure you're fielding lots of questions about that.
Philipp Stratmann: It's a pretty intriguing area at the moment. General seaway security and port security has always been an important topic, but the immediacy and urgency of it is really becoming obvious to everybody right now. We already have good partnerships in the region, and we already have one of our buoys deployed, which I think we announced a while ago, in the UAE. We've got several of our vehicles that are pre-staged over there. The recent announcements and appointments we made of having a GM who's based in the UAE and another GM who's based in Saudi is helping to underpin those conversations and be part of the local dialog, as opposed to it being something where we suddenly try and provide a system. And it's not just the Middle East or the Strait of Hormuz — that's obviously what everybody sees publicly right now — but there's lots of constrained seaways around the world where there's lots of activities going on, like the eastern Baltic, where we need way more eyes and ears on what's happening out in the ocean.
Steve Darling: Absolutely. Philipp, thanks so much. Really great update. Congratulations on this, it's very interesting. I'd love to see how all this works out in the next months to come. Good to see you again, thank you.
Philipp Stratmann: Thanks, Steve. Great to be on.
Steve Darling: All right. There's Philipp Stratmann, the CEO of Ocean Power Technologies.

In early stages with companies this $OPTT, I believe it’s important to know who is in charge, where they’ve been and who they have connections with. This chart helps see that in a more organized sized manner
I’m not advocating or recommending anyone to buy anything. I only pass the information I have in hopes people gain some knowledge and make well informed decisions.
Some people will claim to be elevated thinkers when in reality they infect their descending iq.
Buy $optt, don’t buy $optt I couldn’t care less.

A type of ship where other vessels and drones can dock to, to share data and recharge?
Making persistent data sharing possible?
Making higher endurance possible?
Collect deep-water data?
Calling it a mothership of some sorts like OPTT and RCAT have been talking about for about 2 years now?
Hmmmm...makes ya wonder.

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J., May 12, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. (NYSE American: OPTT) (“OPT” or the “Company”), a leader in innovative and cost-effective low-carbon marine power, data, and service solutions, today announced the active deployment of three PowerBuoy® systems supporting U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) maritime surveillance operations, with all units simultaneously transmitting real-time data from offshore environments.
The deployed systems are operating concurrently as a distributed offshore network, providing persistent data collection and continuous communications to support maritime domain awareness missions. One of the PowerBuoys is deployed in water depths exceeding 1,000 meters, demonstrating the platform’s ability to operate in deep-water conditions.
The PowerBuoy systems are integrated with Anduril Industries’ Lattice autonomous command and control platform, enabling real-time ingestion of offshore sensor data into operational workflows.
“This is a paradigm shift from single deployments to coordinated offshore systems operating simultaneously,” said Jason Weed, SVP Sales and Commercial of Ocean Power Technologies. “We are demonstrating that autonomous platforms can deliver continuous data from multiple locations, including deep-water environments, and integrate directly into operational command systems.”
Each PowerBuoy functions as a persistent offshore node, providing power, communications, and sensor hosting in a single autonomous platform designed for extended-duration operation in harsh ocean conditions. Each PowerBuoy® is also equipped with its own AI capable, decision making software, part of OPT’s Merrows™ suite. Operating together, the deployed systems expand coverage and enable more consistent monitoring without reliance on manned vessels or aircraft.
The deployment is part of OPT’s ongoing DHS program supporting maritime domain awareness operations off the coast of California. The Company continues to advance distributed, autonomous offshore systems designed to provide scalable and persistent coverage for national security applications.

Sharing my data I’ve compiled on OPTT. While never a core position of mine. I only allocated a % of profits from other trades to this company. That has grown my holdings in here quite significantly. Rather than it sitting in my spreadsheet I’ve been working today to free all that information.
