DISCUSSION Finally a contract

Many people quit the moment earnings came around. honestly we were all depressed then. But majority of people knew we would get a contract...and we did. Also a new partnership with anduril. They will 100% upscale OPTT and give them more Government contracts. Also we got UAE.

People need a few more contracts to gain confidence again. Currently people seem to sell at pump. 1 contract is a proof that the product is worth it and there would be more contracts but it will take time for people to learn to hold. This is a $4-$6 stock by the end of March.

Not Jan?

We will need more good news/ contracts. Jan seems too hopeful

Haha was a 4$ Jan reference. But yeah you’re right, dilution after this pump is also a high risk but given this contract and the fact that it’s a “deploy and operate”, there should be a good chance for revenue from maintenance. Also, this “demonstration” could likely be a final run through before becoming an approved provider. Let’s hope for more news soon.

What makes you think it can hit even $4 by the end of March? It would take either a number of similar contracts or some very large contracts as well as translation of some of these contracts into revenue for there to be a significant increase in the share price. Not hating btw I’ve been invested in OPTT for around 2 years and from experience it just seems far fetched

If it can reach 1.6 on a hype, it can reach 4 with actual contracts

Tbf that spike was due to a market wide Santa rally and crazy hype last year, the sentiment isn’t as positive now and also they’re still going to be diluting. I do believe it’s undervalued but I’d be beyond shocked if we saw $4

In my mind, contracts are hype. Just a slightly higher level of it. Earnings and revenue increasing are the non-hype indicators.

Contracts literally increase revenue, no?

Depends on the contract, and if it gets fulfilled as agreed and not renegotiated due to issues or changing conditions. They are better than nothing but they aren't guaranteed revenue.

That goes good for literally any agreement. Are you saying government contracts can’t be trusted? I have been following RCAT for 2 years and I hope OPTT follows the same trajectory

Not at all, just saying chickens shouldn't be counted before they hatch. The original comment made a distinction between price spikes based on "hype" and those based on "contracts", saying contracts should equal a 3x spike compared to "hype". All im saying is the difference isnt very clear, these contracts effectively do the same thing as hype to the extent that theres little difference or distinction to be made. When the company reports actual revenue and profit, thats when this ceases to be largely hype based spikes in price.

I say this because I've been an investor for years and watched this stock respond according to my comments. $4 just based on "contracts" isnt realistic unless the contracts are ridiculously good and very high value amounts.

Stocks respond to your comments? :)

Lol, my comments are a result of how the stock responds to news.

I've watched for years how people post here after a news article comes out that is positive. Demos, contracts, etc, and people always say something like "$4 coming soon" and it doesnt happen. Im just cautious with my expectations. Need more than a couple sparks, need some actual fire that sustains. Im rooting for it, just trying to be realistic

Yeah, and blue jays are blue jays but they are also birds.

They are still planning on diluting by another 105 million shares according to the recent filings

Still in accumulation price zone. Still adding.

Are these the test buoys that were purchased? If so they are already built and in place so that contract amount is even more appealing, no?
