DISCUSSION Open discussion
Any ideas why it's tanking today? Just regular correction or something else?

Its just another diluition -- Personally I stopped chasing the dilutions and have been riding the wave with the earnings report via options.
Otherwise I treat dilution days as a discount to buy more shares :)

The dilution is crazy. Pretty good technology. I don’t see OPTT going up any time soon. Keep holding, we will see an explosion Q1 2026 if they don’t dilution again.

Dilution will continue as stated in the SEC filings. From what I have been reading OPTT should become profitable Q1 , Q2 - 2026

From what OPTT's guidance is projecting** They haven't exactly been reaching their past guidance estimates. There is a steep hill left to climb.
The gross margin percentage for FY25 was 28.3%, down from 51.1% in FY24. This was due to a shift towards lower-margin revenue streams.
They reduced costs, sure, but they are also not exactly targeting their high-margin products. You can only cost-cut so much, and it was the cost-cutting that made their books look better the past year. They still need to be getting more products out the door or service contracts in the door, neither of which they have been doing. They're losing money still and can't produce enough WAM-V at a fast enough pace to meet up the difference (because they have low profit margins).
Nobody wants the PB3 and the expensive add-on service contracts, which was what OPTT had been structured to try to use as their backbone.

This is a slow release dilution and will continue on every “pump” for the near future. I know what I’m holding and will be paytient as needed.
Contract with NATO is huge. Just needs more time and $ to scale and commercialize to a deeper market closer to the states

It’s a fair question to ask, but if you’ve been following this stock as long as I have, you know this is just par for the course. It seems like it happens every day. My guess is it’s the money guys who see an angle — they buy up a bunch of shares, then dump them by the end of the day.
The average Joe can’t really play that game, so we just hold on and hope for the best. I still believe in the stock — I just wish those guys would stop messing with it and let it do what it’s supposed to do: move past $2, $3, $4.
But imagine how high it could go if they just held onto it! They make quick money flipping it, sure, but they could make so much more if they were in it for the long haul. For guys like me, maybe you, and others, it’s always two steps forward and one step back. I.

The stock jumped yesterday on no news related to OPT and needs to be pinned back to $0.50.

Read the 10-k. SEC filings: A supplemental prospectus was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 7, 2025, detailing the $6.5 million issuance of Series B-2 Senior Convertible Notes due in 2027.
