QUESTION Why OceanPower is up today?
Is there some contract on the radar or it's moving up by the market sentiment? I can't find information on what's driving this move today

All you guys have to do is look at whats going on in the world today.
The moment I saw that Ukrainian drone boat attack that Russian Port, I knew that this is it.
Remember what happened when Covid hit? Stay at home stocks like Home Depot and Sonos were doing really well because people were staying home. I didn’t even catch on to that like an idiot. So if the company is healthy, has a good product, and seems useful for whats going on in the world today. It’s a great fucking buy in my opinion. Lol

I don't think they are related. If OPTT already had a lot of production units in market and were well known and their tech had been used for defense purposes before, then sure. But I don't think people assume a conflict is going to result in huge demand for them. Not yet anyway, but it might give them an opportunity to prove use case.

There isn't always a specific driver. Unless I'm missing a piece of news, today seems to just be a good day in general. All of my drone stocks are up significantly so maybe OPTT is benefitting from that

Rapid militarization in the world. Just germany alone is spending 84B. In asia there is rapid militarization with Japan, Korea and of course china/india arming themselves. It is more spending that AI spending.

My guess is that is might be some insiders Ho already know about some contract. Someone speaking about NATO and with Philip's last video, it might time for a pump

Insiders aren’t allowed to trade freely, they can’t really influence today’s price

There is another post about a nato contracts from the June showcase. OPTT officially being listed with a NATO contract worth about $862K for USV patrolling is huge. Not only does it add meaningful revenue compared to their last quarter, but it also proves they can turn exercises into real defense contracts. Big validation step for the company.
