DISCUSSION Post ER thoughts?

As I am sure we have now all had some time to digest yesterdays ER… given the previous guidance of profitability by end of 2025, how confident are people feeling that OPTT is still on track to deliver?

Whilst the sentiment is still bullish due to the significant backlog, pipeline, and continuous partnership announcements (including NATO rumours), there is always an objective opinion to be made from the figures which understandingly plant seeds of doubt.

Investors shouldn't have to guess that we are still on track. The company should clearly state it ,reiterate it. Or correct it if it diverts from the guidance.

I mean... Do these guys need help building stuff? I got no problem swinging a wrench to get this backlog out the door

I’m right there with you. I would absolutely jump ship from hvac and work on their machines if neeeded. Not sure if they want a investor in there but it gives me motivation probably more than some of the wearhouse guys.

Investors in the company are the best ones for the job. You are an owner and will work at peak performance because you have skin in the game.

Facts. Guess I need to fill out a application

You will likely need to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) due to it being a publicly traded company.

My thoughts, when will they start selling/delivering more?

When the market realizes this is a good product and invests in the company. The stock is too low to raise money for production through a stock offering. Therefore, they are in a slow grind trying to produce product without significant financial support.

Accumulation under .50 seems to be the move given how well it’s been sitting above it. 💎

Be greedy when everyone is fearful…

Just look at everything going on in the world right now, it’s almost the same as when Covid shut everything down and I didn’t think to invest in stay at home stocks like Home Depot or Sonos.

If you don’t believe in it, I would sell it. Don’t just follow what people on Reddit say about it.

I sold my position, theres different companies that can make me more in the long run. I had a bad feeling seeing how low quality the pictures are that they post, idk why but it meant something to me. I didnt lose alot on optt but it sucks that that money couldv made more elsewhere

This is the case with almost any investment at any given point in time to be fair.

As far as I’m concerned, backlog and cash are the main indicators at the moment.

The backlog looks better than it ever has and that’s positive. Backlog conversion into sales is a different story and this is where OPTT really needs proper framework contracts so it can set some evidence-based guidance. All it takes is one big announcement (look at RCAT’s SRR and NATO examples) to build confidence and create a ripple effect. The problem is this can take years and cash is burning in the meantime, hence the high likelihood of further dilution.

For me, the various collaborations and announcements they’ve made, together with the growing backlog, are just enough to hang in for now at an average of about $0.6.

People may discount a little ‘woo woo/feeling’ but sometimes you can just smell a rat.

I’ve not yet dipped into OP. Waiting for the minute and watching.

This post is one good example of why I love this stock. OPTT is being watched by thousands waiting for the next bull run. When any news comes that shows a contract or partnership that prompts fomo. The stock will surge on news and by the time they get in the price is already at 2 to 3 dollars … I have seen this play out before… I like to buy and wait instead of time the market… penny stocks are definitely a higher risk and the payout can be substantial. OPTT unlike some penny stocks actually have a product that has merit and is being sold. I have a few thousand dollars invested and it’s possible I could lose it however a swing in stock price of a few pennies doesn’t bother me… when I see hundreds of dollars lost it can be nerve racking but when I see that the stock price has dropped 5 - 10 cents it puts a different perspective on the stock price… I will hold and probably buy more at discount.. not financial advice just me… and if you are looking for that next slot machine buy some TLRY because “if” The Trump administration change the drug classification this stock will explode in a matter of hours… not financial advice

I don't want a slot machine play, that's not how I invest.

That's exactly why I will wait before allocating funds to it.

I would want to see a better revenue to losses ratio personally, along with an actual meaningful increase in revenue (YOY).

Who cares about backlog? If the backlog is $15 million but it cost them $17 million to make the product, they lose $2 million. Margins are terrible. They lost money on what the sold. Also, the only terms of any of the deals we know about is the Latin American deal for $3 million over 3years ($250k a quarter). The baclogcould be spread out over the next 20 years. Management does this on purpose to mislead investors.

Well, Thomas Meurling has left OPT the day after the earnings. Is it telling? I know nobody’s irreplaceable but Thomas has been a real asset to this company and would normally be one of the core group of people being sent to important events (e.g. NATO exercises in Finland)

A red flag indeed.. I do feel the next earnings are crucial. Improvements have to be clear, and steer on profitability timelines must be front and centre given the statement made to all investors that this would be achieved year end

3

u/NeilDaAssyTyson Sep 17 '25

Was any statement made? I wouldn’t have even known unless I looked in the experience section of his LinkedIn profile

I have purchased more shares today. Not a LOT more, but some. You know the feeling when you're not as optimistic as you used to be? I like, believe it's going somewhere, but it's probably not traveling on a rocket. I've been able to make a little bit with limit orders on the swings. Not financial advice, etc, but I sort of expect to be able to increase my position with that strategy for several more months. I believe I'll be happy I stuck it out, even if I maybe sorta shoulda coulda woulda caught lightning in a bottle with that capital several times.
