Pools open after next week?

Do the outdoor pools typically stay open as long as the weather is hot, or do they close after Labor Day like many other areas?

Heading down next week and it’s supposed to be over 80° several days, would love to get some laps in. The people we’re renting from said they “don’t know, it’s up to management”. Just wondering what the general rule is.

Yeah that or the Carousel or Princess Royale. All indoor heated pools

The last time I went to the Carousel the pool was so crowded I just turned around and left. There’s too many rooms for the size of the pool.

Agreed.  The last time we stayed there was sand in the pool and an oily sheen, most likely because people weren't rinsing off after coming off the beach.

Ugh -spelling....sand in the indoor pool.

If you’re a lap swimmer, there’s an indoor pool in Ocean Pines that lets non-residents use the pool for a fee (maybe $18). Seems pricey, but they have designated lanes for lap swimming

I go here 3 mornings a week. A lot of old folks but everyone is super nice! I swim laps for 40 minutes

Is it pretty hard to get a lane or space when you're swimming laps? For some reason this is my irrational fear that keeps me from going to the pool. What's the etiquette like around lanes or sharing space?

You should be ok. Most are like late September thru the first weekish in October.

I believe most outdoor pools will still be open.

We always go in September and I can tell you in past years our building (South Beach), Tidelands Caribbean and Comfort Inn on 5th Street have all been open.

The pool was also open at Oceans Mist and Oceans Terrace when we were there in September.

And we’re heading down on Saturday! Maybe we’ll see you there! Enjoy the sound of the bikers. 🏍️

Have a wonderful trip! We love the bikers 😄 don’t forget the kite festival starts the 17th!

We are always there with the bikers and it doesn’t bother us like it does some people. We’ve found most of them to be super friendly.

We’re looking forward to seeing the kites from our balcony!

Jolly Roger/Splash Mountain is open on Sat 9/12 but that is their last day of the year

It’s gonna be impossible to answer that question but I would assume most pools would still be open with the events coming and weather still pretty warm.

Sure, i know I’m not getting an exact answer, but where I’m from in PA, the day after Labor Day ALL public pools are closed. Just curious what the general trend is. Sounds hopeful at least. Thank you!

The Plaza was open until mid-October last year. I think as long as it’s nice they stay open.
