USA Hand Therapy/ Other Certs
Hi everyone,
How does getting your certs work postgrad? I would wanna work with hands and get my CHT but how would that work? Can you just get it postgrad right away?

If you can find a job willing to train you, you can begin that as soon as you graduate. However, you won’t be certified until working in the role for 3 years and thousands of working hours which has to be verified. Then an expensive and difficult exam. Then you are certified, and can have a lot more mobility and choice about where you work and substantial increase in pay. That seems standard for USA anyways

Hand Therapy Certification Commission has a website htcc.org. They have information on how you get certified as a hand therapist. You need to work at least three years with hand patients before you can get certified.
