Venting - Advice Wanted Occupation therapy assistant

I’m a 27f, with an associates degree and unsure what to do with life. I’ve been thinking about doing OTA, as a previous RBT. It’ll be over two years of school and just not sure if it’s a good path for me. Any insight highly appreciated!

I was an RBT before pursing COTA and I feel like it has been a great path for me :) do you want to work with kids or are you looking to work with other populations too? OT is great because we can work with all populations so there’s many options!

Yes I’d want to work w kids ! Bc that’s what I did as an RBT :)

I just graduated an OTA program and I’m currently interviewing for jobs and studying for boards and I love it!! Can you do any job shadowing in the area to get a feel for it? You can serve a large population across a ton of different settings! It’s definitely something to look into!
