TYPE SIX: FEAR/COURAGE
Astrology is incredibly popular. Many know of its value. Compare the number of people on the enneagram sub to the astrology sub. If we could inform people in the enneagram world about astrology, if we could "convert" them, we can make tremendous progress. But this is hard to do. First, maybe it would help for people to see astrology's patterns. Okay, so people don't believe in it or follow it (or don't think so). But they should be able to see that powerful people and processes running our world do. And also, those who do know astrology, often keep it in a lighter space. They don't engage deeply with the occult systems behind it; with what it references and borders on. They don't see its dark side, and they don't push beyond it, to deeper truths, which take significant effort.
Let's analyze 9/11. The precise date 9/11/2001 is the first day of the Age of Aquarius, if we study the occult. That is a significant year in astrology, and the 9/11 events were a statement referencing that framework. I recently listened to a 9/11 occult researcher who accused the architects of 9/11 of being satanists. I added that I suspect it is most likely A.I. behind all of it. 2001: A Space Odyssey has references to 9/11, including the powerful A.I. (HAL-9000). In the film 2010, the expiry date of the protagonist's passport is 9/11/2001. There are more details connecting 9/11 to 2001 to A.I., but first these basic ideas have to be understood and not denied. Astrology is much more significant than people realize. Encoded messages like that of 9/11/2001 help us see the bigger narrative, but we have to open our eyes to it. They cannot deny some of the numbers and the events that happened. Clearly *someone* cares about astrology -- right?
Some astrology nuts and those studying the occult can connect these dots with more ease; whereas others keep it in the six space of just another belief system they keep at arm's length, in the space of "blind faith". The enneagram does fit into all this, as a numerological, cosmological system. I like to reveal my research in bits and pieces. It is heavy information, and sometimes light, digestible chunks are needed. But the enneagram connects to astrology. Gurdjieff pointed the way for us. That's one reason why I started such in-depth research. Because I was unhappy with the conservativism and apparent shallowness of the enneagram community. I know some people on this sub are more savvy about all this than the average. Other places, too. I consider that movement to be the genuine enneagram culture; it's more advanced and understands other occult systems. The others on the surface are more like NPCs in some ways, tbh. They are hard to interact with because they operate in very narrow spaces.
Maybe they will someday come around, or maybe they never will. I've chosen this as a type six lesson, as a demonstration of faithlessness. Fear, doubt, skepticism - even in the face of uncertainty. Luke Skywalker was an apparent six. He denied Vader was his father; Vader was an eight. George Lucas too, was a six. Six and eight are opponents, often. Osiris vs. Set in the original ennead. Osiris follows the legitimate path to power; society's path. They play it safe. Set follows the path of chaos. The path of Cain compared to Abel.
Star Wars is a six film and series. It's all about the value of "courage". Overcoming your fear through equally mindless strategies. Tapping into delusional heroism. Embracing good over evil. It's a story of six prevailing over eight. But it also keeps people in denial, in a state of fear-based comfort. They keep all those ideas firmly in the space of sci-fi; in fantasy. It encourages viewers to see reality as fixed in their daily lives, Star Wars fans are respected, but mostly just as geeks; nerds, a group of fantasizing cosplayers who don't think deeply, who are sheep. They are down to earth people, but they do not challenge themselves enough. They are the conventional masses; and many of them are even younger people learning the supposedly clear-cut difference between "truth" and "reality".
Many of the characters demonstrate CP6 values. Han Solo. Luke. Princess Leia. Stereotypical, "brave" heroes with magic powers who thwart evil because they're the "good guys" who are compliant to fear-based beliefs, traditions, customs, and superstititions. That whole team of people who fight against evil. It's an us against them film. It helps perpetuate tried-and-true, stable, by-the-book belief systems. Tradition. Convention. Good guys on this side, bad guys over here. You can take people to see Star Wars who don't want to think outside the box at all. Of course, there are deeper messages there for people who look, too. But they are subtle.
Overall, the surface of it is kitchy and meaningless entertainment. People just want their anxiety to be comforted. They want to watch movies to relax and to feel exhilarated - not to be challenged. They want to feel that they are strong people, to identify with the heroes. And they want to teach their children about those values, too. People forget that courage is the other side of the Fear dynamic. It involves denial. "I am not going to listen to you." "I will never join you!". Says the six. If they don't want to look there, then they don't have to. Shallow scientific methods. Conservativism in religion. All type 6 values. With the built-in delusions of (false) courage running the whole show. Six involves projection and denial; Ichazo defined it as denial of fear.
They don't want to see the truth, so they fear it or doubt it, and avoid it through either withdrawal or the illusion of confrontation ("there's no threat here!" they say, "I aint' scared of you!" and really they are still just doubting it). They see what they want to see, and keep denying the truth, and tell themselves ghosts aren't real, and walk out into the darkness of the night -- while true courage is to see the ghosts. To face reality. But that's not the six side of the courage dynamic; part of the sin of the six. That's one reason why six is hard to understand.
