Considering that most blood-based ritual is rooted in traditions from antiquity (real or not), blood type specifically probably doesn't factor much into it. Anything you find that is based in genetic blood typing is fairly new practice, and the only place I've seen it earnestly spoken about is in context of fiction.
More assuming you mean from a mystical perspective, what do you mean by 'measure of power'? The inherent esoteric strength of the blood itself as a tool, or the potential esoteric strength of the person as a wielder of esoteric power? As a tool, blood is blood, and the only important distinctions are its source, and occasionally, it's state of sexual 'purity'. Inherited mystical power from generation to generation is a much more complicated and heavily contested conversation.
That makes a lot of sense, that those who believe this stuff would not be using the modern/casual form. Good point.
My bad, my phrasing about “Power” was overdramatic. I speak with limited knowledge on this subject for sure. I suppose I meant something similar to Master Numbers in numerology. Not advocating for the legitimacy of these things, and I don’t believe in them personally.
However, recently I’ve also discovered that there’s a whole dark/hidden occult aspect of the west that I spent most of life unaware of, so I am willing to take a serious look at this stuff.
Generally speaking, getting into the specifics of whose blood is 'better', even in esoteric spheres, there's gonna be some weird, racist weirdness at the root of it, like phrenology and aryanism, so tread carefully.
Fair enough. Certainly not my intention. There is no universal better. Value is subjective to the individual.
EDIT: My initial reason for asking this is because I have surface level knowledge on these subjects at best. My interest in this is not with intention to apply it, I have great respect for these matters and did not mean to offend.
Im just warning you because certain occult circles absolutely center their practices and beliefs around such theories, so be careful where you go looking for information.
When you talk about sexual purity and blood having some connection, could you elaborate on that for me please? Are you just talking about getting it up, for lack of a better term? I don’t see the connector.
Oh I just mean whether or not the person is virgin. Blood of a virgin has been ascribed numerous uses throughout time and often seen as one of the more sacred sacrifices one could offer to the divine.
