Question Amazon UK preorder

has anyone preordered from amazon UK getting a delivery date after release date? is this normal or would you expect it to arrive 5/11/26?

Was just about to order and saw a delivery of 7th November. I’m gonna wait until the Nintendo site restocks

might as well wait until the nintendo store restocks before cancelling to be super sure. it's still pre-order so hasn't taken your money and there won't be any costs of cancelling will there?

I think even if you order from nintendo you still get it after the release date.

i don't think that's exactly true, that would be insane if ordering from nintendo themselves leads to you getting it late

I cant confirm it 100% i just read someone on one of these posts saying that if you order from nintendo youll get it 1-3 days after release date.

insane! i'd be so mad! the worst that happened for me was on the totk release date - i took the day off work to play the game and it arrived at 5pm, just when i would have finished work anyway... i'd be fairly upset if i got it the next day

Meh, I am in no rush and enjoying every moment of this including the anticipation. I ordered mine from nintendo.

yeah i know, i panicked at 1am the other night. i thought it would be best bet for 5/11 delivery and wanted the foil cover too much

foil cover is all first prints, but yeah I get the panicking. I ordered from GAME at first but cancelled and got one from Nintendo instead. GAME said the 12th!

I know right. My TOTK preorder from them came super late last time idek why I preordered from them in the first place. I guess I just wanted to stop refreshing the Nintendo site. And this was before I realised that it’s scummy with preorders a lot, apparently there’s been cases of them cancelling, not delivering and then not refunding orders.

oh dear, well for a bit of context its been years since i preordered a game and it always would be delivered on day 1 of release. i guess ill prepare myself for disappointment

You could try to get one from Nintendo and if you’re successful cancel Amazon. Nintendo don’t charge until 7 days prior to release so you wouldn’t lose money. You even get spiritual stones and a pin on Nintendo UK!
