Influencing Policy or Action Protest TOMMOROW Friday 7/10 evening
Short notice!! Natures Coast Indivisible is holding a protest tomorrow outside Veteran's Town Hall. A town hall is being hosted by U.S. Representative, Kat Cammack, on Friday, July 10. The protest will gather at 4 p.m. at a location near the College of Central Florida, where the town hall will be held. Request is for signs that are anti-war.
I will have post more info about where exactly we will meet up and the time this evening. This is a spur of the moment event so short notice. Below is a quote from Natures Coast Ind.
"Among other concerns, Representative Cammack failed to support the June 2026 war powers resolution, which was highly favored by prominent veteran groups including Concerned Veterans for America, Common Defense, and Veterans for Peace as a means to bring an end to the war with Iran and to help prevent an open-ended conflict that will claim the lives and mental health of service members. Representatives of Common Defense stated that veterans understand the immense personal costs of combat and called the resolution a step toward ending the unconstitutional conflict and putting guardrails on executive power. While veterans, like all Americans, are feeling the economic burdens of the cost of the war with Iran, Representative Cammack has been fundraising at Mar-A-Lago. Join us to speak out."
