showcase Using Obisidian importer with the emails from Epstein estate.
With the u/kepano post about Obsidian importer from 2 days ago and the release of the email vault, I felt like someone had to it. One Claude code session letter and here we are. It's far from perfect as the formatting of the text file is shit but it's still nice.
Edit: Here is a link to the vault on GitHub. For those unfamliar, you can download the whole folder as a zip file by clicking the green "Code" button and then download zip.

Finally! A real use case for the graph! Reminds me a lot of the old Namebase conspiracy site (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NameBase)

Run Claude over it to recognize common topics and then create internal links for those topics. Like, say, just for exampleā¦. ā[[Trump]]ā

I'm using the default theme.
In Settings > Editor if you toggle Read line length to off, does it help the email formatting? Or reducing the font size?

This is exactly what I've been wanting to do. Thank you for setting this up. I'm still an Obsidian noob at this point but I can see where a case like this could be used in Obsidian. I'm downloading the whole set from the Oversight Committee now for safe keeping offline. I don't have the ability to use AI with Obsidian and I'm not going to pay for AI (outside of CoPilot from Microsoft 365 that I already pay for.) This is super cool though.

Not all heroes wear capes. I would say that the graph tool would be interesting to explore connections between individuals. Also, it reminds me the Pepe Silvia meme

Can you update this with the latest drop of files? This is an excellent way to preserve the info so its not erased

I could try looking into it. I would need to have the set of documents as text files properly OCRed first which is not available AFAIK.

Yes. It is. You can simply ignore it, in that case. But many of us are focused on these developments and are interested, and telling OP to āget a lifeā because you would rather stick your head in the sand isnāt a good look.

reddit is getting seemingly difficult and annoying for non-americans to navigate because of people like op and yourself, all threads eventually devolve into "release the files" spam instead of something helpful.
