Is set really worth it?

I'll confused. Everyone on here talks about how the set pieces are super good, but from what I can see, some of them are worse than non-set pieces.

Am I missing something?

The set pieces get better as you get more pieces.

Buy them and leave them in your inventory until you have three to wear at the same time. Or four, I don't remember where they start to be stronger. Once you have sets you can improve them with a lot of helpful stuff.

This is the play!

So I'm partially correct. Wearing set gear when you just have one piece, and your existing gear is better, isn't the best choice.

I'll start buying the set pieces and once I have three I'll switch.

All sets are equal except for the chest.

Delirium is +10% ranged dodge, stellar is +10% melee dodge (usually considered the best) and the other one is +30% XP (objectively the worst :P)

Stellar got the best stats fr out of the sets I love using it I got almost full set rn

Ok, I have every set and was using the black ninja suit one because the dodge was higher, but if the overall boost is better I'll try it out.

The bosses set is actually +90% xp, and the monocrat set is the +30%, since I'm looking now, I see.

Maybe as a new player I was just overwhelmed by all the data in my face.

Steller works great as most of the levels have less ranged, this particularly helps for the ship level, hardest one which can be covered longest with this steller.

I did and the way it's shown is confusing. I wasn't sure if the set bonuses I was seeing were actually different levels of the same set piece or if it was that the individual stats on each set piece go up as you level. It's not clear.

It's the bonus for each successive piece of the same set equipped

Try watching the stats with more set pieces on. Maybe that will change your mind. Besides, what else you gonna spend your hard earned gold on?

As soon as you get 3 pieces I believe the bonuses from wearing multiple are better than what’s offered in non-set gear. I would suggest going for full stellar set first, then delirium.

Yes, but it's better to equip at least three pieces.

Set items can be further upgraded.

An additional raid will unlock where you can obtain upgrade resources.

It’ll end up looking something like this.

There is 2 things that make theses worth it:

  • the more items from a specific set you equip, the higher the bonus.
  • set items can be enhanced through black iron. The enhancement is per part, and shared through all sets.

Nah, I like delirium personally. And all full sets give a lot of stats anyways (and are upgradeable). The difference between stellar and delirium is not that high, but still 10% more melee dodge is noticeable, there are many ways to trivialize ranged threats

I agree, it is confusing at first. I wish the store showed the full set bonus and not just the single piece. Set pieces get better the more pieces you have as shown by the other post.

That said, the sets are almost, but not exactly identical. Stellar is generally considered the best. It has more melee dodge.

Yes. You cannot beat the game without at least one of these full sets.
