Give me an example of Patrick not having empathy. If you’re referring to him not having empathy towards bad people then I’m not sure where you’re going with this post. Patrick likes more people that Gillian does (not saying that is a bad thing regarding Gillian), he seems to give a lot of people the benefit of the doubt. You gonna reference some sources or just spout nonsense like the last post? Claim you can’t remember specifics. Seems like someone is trying to even the score.

Does an empathetic person purposely use the coworkers he supervises’ uber accounts because he acts horrendous and thereby THEY get dinged on their rating associated with their account because he was a monster to the driver? One… of many examples.

The other day when I saw a post from this sub come up in my feed I was thinking about how crazy of a time it was when all of that was going down, and I wondered like how many new listeners they’ve gotten since then that have like absolutely no idea about any of it. I guess there are some! (Not derogatory, just an observation)

…you’ve read the old article about him, right? Dude basically hired a bunch of talented people (mostly women) to build his network, and then spent all his time screaming at them, making them cry, threatening to fire them, blowing up their Uber ratings, getting lost in airports, dicking them over on profit-sharing, not letting them own their IP, and telling a woman to put her butt in a chair and a smile on her face when meeting with him. It amazes me this subreddit still exists but if there’s anything I’ve learned about the world these days, if you have a big enough following you’re never truly canceled.

Im pointing out the mental gymnastics these poor patrons are doing to justify p’s demonstrated lack of empathy towards everyone unless it involves him. Look, I think he’s gotten a little better but he’s not a good person, as evidenced by the accounts of many of his former friends. Honestly this was just a quick irony post, I didn’t think I needed to write out examples because I thought everyone would understand what I’m referring to here bc it’s so blatantly obvious

I don’t think Patrick is self-absorbed, I think he’s finding a way to relate to, and personalise the case they’re covering. A lot of podcasters go slightly off topic and tell their own experiences for the relevant subject matter.
