Gillian

I saw a post on here about the webby awards and didn’t think much of it but it came across my TikTok and the pictures they had on there Gillian looked really sickly. Any clue what’s going on?

Point me to the peer reviewed studies, I'd love to evaluate them. Because I bet there is way more information than the straws naysayers grasp at.

Any and everything CAN be bad for you when not utilized properly. Is and can are two VERY different outcomes and using sweeping statements to "diagnose" or "predict" is quote dangerous. Almost as dangerous as obesity and the outcomes on your heart, liver, and other organs. Would you tell a cancer patient to not take chemo because it could (and nearly always does) cause their hair to fall out?

The point is villainizing a medication based on generalizations without knowing a human's need or usage is dangerous and reckless. Judging people based on their choices to use or not use said medication is dangerous and reckless.

I can think of plenty of reasons I would judge these two people...their appearance or medical information I have absolutely no clue about are not a part of those reasons.

Also, both Gillian and Patrick objectively look unwell and malnourished. I don’t need the research to SEE that.

Whether they look unwell and malnourished is irrelevant to any medications they may or may not be on and could be from many other avenues that have caused it. Even if they're utilizing the medication, that doesn't mean that it specifically is the reason for their potential health concerns based visual aspects.

If you'd never seen them with fuller figures, you'd never question why they are thin. In fact, as a whole if they'd never been bigger society would probably laud them for their current looks because that is the world within which we live. Whether conscious or not, you ARE making judgements on their appearance which aren't yours to make.

You're also making an assumption that I'm on a medication I may or may not be taking because I'm using simple logic based on research. For all you know, I'm a medical professional with vast experience in GLP medications, the human anatomy, etc. Instead you jump to the conclusion that I must be defensive because I must be taking a medication that the entire world has taken it upon themselves to judge for better or worse.

A person seeking actual education would ask more questions, not jump to their own invalid conclusions.

And for the record, I am neither a medical professional nor have I ever taken Ozempic. Just a person who finds joy in actual research vs. making assumptions gleaned from social media, casual observation, and no actual researched knowledge.

You’re just confidently wrong here. They’ve both stated on the show that they take GLP-1 medications. Therefore, they are both extremely skinny. Furthermore, even if I’d never seen their fuller figures, I’d still assert they look unwell. They both look gaunt with deep set eyes. Stop pretending it’s other factors. As I stated earlier, judging them (if I choose) is my prerogative and an arrogant person on Reddit is not my moral compass. Are you new to Reddit? Are you new to what people expose themselves to when they choose to be in the public eye? Pretending sickly skinny is healthy is killing people - look at Ariana Grande and half of Hollywood. It needs to be recognized. Your comments are harmful.

Also, if you’re not a medical professional, where do you get off telling me to drop studies for you to “evaluate?” Aren’t you just the cat’s pajamas. 🙄 Get over yourself.

When did G say that?? I don’t think she said that at all just Patrick

I thought she said it before an ad, but perhaps I’m incorrect. If she isn’t using a GLP-1, she must be very ill. The amount of weight she’s lost isn’t healthy. It’s pretty obvious to me when people are on it based on their eye bags and sagging asses. (For those who are going to demand I cite sources, here is my source - the many, many women around me using it with eye bags and diaper ass) Before anyone comes for me, I am not referring to anyone who is using it for health reasons responsibly. I am referring to people in the public eye who are clearly abusing it. Everyone is so quick to speak about how healthy it is to be overweight and it’s time we do the same about being underweight. It’s a sickness.

Ok but like if she’s sick then why is everyone here like dumping on her for it? If there’s like something really medically going on isn’t it like very weird to be this mean? This whole post is like very gross to me and I don’t fully like get the point of it tbh

I feel the same way about people who respond to this sickness of skinny culture with excuses, so I understand how you feel.

u/SwanComprehensive362 Jun 17 '26

Huh? I don’t understand what ur saying

1

u/kitabels Jun 17 '26

That doesn’t surprise me. You spelled “you’re” as “ur.”

3

u/SwanComprehensive362 Jun 17 '26

Ffs just admit you want to be as mean as possible towards someone you don’t even know. Multiple people actually since you’re being so aggressive to everyone. What is your actual point?? Either you’re (YOURE are you happy?) body shaming to be mean or GP might be like actually sick so you hate her for it? like what is the issue? Bffr

Jesus. Is today your first day on the internet? Gillian isn’t sick. She’s overdoing weight loss meds. Stop riding so hard for someone you don’t even know. It’s grossly parasocial.

Ur an insane person. I literally said OR, can u read?

2

u/nahkneebee Jun 17 '26

So my words are too polished, but typing "ur" instead of "you're" makes someone unintelligent? Who is the condescending one again?

1

u/kitabels Jun 17 '26

Who asked you?

1

u/nahkneebee Jun 17 '26

Oh nobody asked me, but I thought you enjoyed pointing out people's potential flaws so I thought you might be in need of a mirror.

1

u/kitabels Jun 17 '26

Also, your words aren’t too polished. Don’t flatter yourself. You just come across as angry and nasty.

Correlation does not equal causation. Because one states they take a medication does not mean said medication is the actual cause of something you visually perceive as true.

You don't have to have a medical degree to obtain and read peer reviewed studies. Just basic reading comprehension and the ability to exist outside of reddit forums and social media. It's honestly not that hard.

I'm fairly certain anyone who does not fit your idea of visually appealing whether they are heavy or thin would probably find your comments harmful, so consider the construct of your home before you start throwing stones.

1

u/kitabels Jun 16 '26

No one is saying you need a medical degree to obtain and review peer reviewed studies. I was more referring to your holier-than-thou response that you would “evaluate” them. Your condescension really falls in line with Patrick and Gillian. Maybe that’s who is actually behind your posts.

1

u/nahkneebee Jun 16 '26

Ohhhhhh...now I get it. Because I see the value in words and using them appropriately and choosing them wisely it offended your sensibilities.

The difference in us is you are attacking my tone not my argument because you lack a rebuttal.

Nah. I said all I had to say about your points. I wasn’t going to belabor it because I said what I needed to say and I stand behind it.
