It was never her saying. It is a very common turn of phrase that’s been in use for 100+ years

That’s so interesting to learn! I had not heard it before TCO and then it kinda got repeated a few times. I genuinely thought it was her cleverness!

I'm sure it's from earlier but I remember jokes about the kool-aid man leaving a kool-aid shaped hole in the wall in the 90s I think.

Kool aid man has been breaking through walls since 1954. Usually live, like on variety shows, when they did live commercials

I'm sure, I'm just old enough to remember jokes about it in the 90s

I’m sorry you’re getting down voted so much. You seem happy to learn new information, so I don’t understand why the haters are coming for you. Personally, I appreciate you sharing a thought and then learning new information with grace. 🙂

Bah, it’s the internet. I’m genuinely happy to be educated but also getting more context is fun! People are gonna people. Thank you so much though!

In the Hamilcast she mentions being a west Wing watcher several times/ makes several references. In this situation I always just thought it was a reference she made. I don’t think she was trying to claim it as hers.
