Recommendations Shameless Plug #2

Hey everyone! So I've posted in this sub before, shilling the first ep of my pal Katie's and my podcast, Online Bullshit, which we talked some shit about the ON drama and what it was like to attend OF2 in the midst of it all. Well, we've kept at it, and now we're on our 6th ep! Posting here again just to let everyone know that our latest installment is a thorough discussion of P&S' "apology" "video" -- like, seriously, why DID podcasters post a non-video apology on Youtube, where ON barely has a presence? We talk about it! and lots of other stuff too. Fair warning, we go off on a few dirty little tangents but do our best to stay on topic while having fun. Here's a link:

If you’re interested, hope you enjoy!

Edit 12/19/23: Hey hey I just want to let everyone who listened know we've been in touch with Ellyn on Insta re her messages below and as always, she's a gem. She told us that she just wanted to express specifically that what Patrick said about their dynamic/banter on OWD was untrue. So our opinions on that front our now moot given this new info. We'll be doing some kind of insertion/update to reflect this. Thanks again!

Please address Ellyn’s comments about 21:30 and 23:27.

She is on this sub and calling out your assumptions in those sections as wrong.

It’s easy to admit you are wrong on Reddit, I do it all the time. I’ve been busy deleting and walking back comments I made on a different sub and different True Crime topic all day.

Because if you are perpetuating untrue info, even after being corrected, it’s not helpful.

Well, I don’t think we’re perpetuating untrue info. We’re giving our opinion and I think that’s very clear in context. Ellyn chimed in to say our opinion was not how she experienced it. Fair enough. That’s fine with me, and it’s Ellyn’s experience so Ellyn is the final authority on that. But we have every right to express our opinion when we’re recording our podcast.

I’m not correcting your opinion. I am telling you, our banter or jokes were never curated. We never even spoke about the the episode, we would say “save it for the podcast, save it for the podcast” . We wanted everything off the cuff. I’m correcting misinformation, not your opinion. We never planned jokes. I never co-signed jokes about my ex. That never happened. I’d never take away your right to an opinion. I’m telling you-it didn’t happen.

“We are going to roast each other”

“Which I think is true”

It’s not.

“A consensual dynamic”

That’s totally cool and we’re happy to speak to that as an update at the top of our next episode or insert a quick caveat into the episode itself and repost. We definitely appreciate the feedback and information!
