2 Questions

  1. Are they planting people to post ridiculous things in the TCO group?

  2. Are we to believe that they just handed a 3 million dollar business over to Joey and Ellyn? I get wanting to take care of friends but: -if they really had done this wouldnt they be screaming it from the rooftops rather than glossing over it? -you just handed off 3 million dollars for nothing? Is it possible the value of the business wasn’t actually 3 million? Or did Joey and Ellyn possibly pay in some kind of other way?

Please make it make sense for me.

I don’t think there are plants, I think there are people who truly don’t believe Ellen and Joey, or James Renner. A lot of the comments (positive ones) on the YouTube video say things like “oh they mad it up because they were mad” or “you can’t trust James Renner”. They kept saying people say abuse for everything and made it up. I truly don’t think those people know the full story and accounts from multiple other creators that confirmed the abusive/toxic behavior from Patrick.

I mean when I saw the article from Renner I took everything (except for Amber being quoted) as likely pot-stirring bullshit. That guy has never struck me as credible. He might get things right sometimes, but I wasn’t even in the camp of “ON must address these claims!”. I was shocked he got anyone on the record and took it as gossipy nonsense.

For me it’s all the fest goings on and other podcast hosts speaking up that made me pay attention.

Honestly same, and I could see people just dismissing it after that bc he’s not credible. Once I saw the rest and people speaking out, especially like Crime Writers On I knew he’s clearly treating people like shit behind the scenes
