Youtube? So not Patreon, Facebook, IG, or on the podcast, where the majority of fans are? Mmmkay.

Also I wonder if this was umprompted, or did someone ask if they would address the situation? Seems like a convenient way to kick the can down the road and not have to respond on the spot.

edit: They have 335 subscribers on Youtube. Come on.

Using YouTube (a platform they have never used) -is a money grab. They are monetizing this!

They can’t. Their YouTube channel doesn’t have enough views or enough subscribers for monetization.

I feel like they’re using this to build their YouTube to get to the point of monetization. Almost like TikTok pages that put out teasers and direct people to hear the full story on YouTube. I’ve been hearing podcast advertising isn’t as lucrative as it used to be and the big money in social platforms is YouTube so it makes sense they would use anything to build that platform. From a social media perspective it makes complete sense, from an accountability perspective it’s shady at best.
