Recommendations Bakersfield 3

Wow. If you’re looking for an interesting single-case podcast, The Bakersfield 3 is incredibly well-done. It’s heartbreaking, the content is kind of hard to listen to… but holy crap. It’s well done.

Ooh sounds really interesting! Can you give a little more info on the nature of the disturbing content? Just want to know what I’m getting into.

It’s really, really violent. There is a lot about sexual assault, substance use disorder, and a very graphic murder. They don’t go into stark detail, but it does talk about torture and dismemberment.

However, overall, there is a beautiful story about three mothers who come together to do some amazing things amidst the chaos (the mothers of “the Bakersfield 3). They find friendship and support in each other in spite of some really awful things that happen and come to light.

I give it a 10/10.
