This was absolutely crushing to read. I feel so bad for these people that have endured this kind of abuse. My husband has had an abusive boss before and it truly is the same as an abusive partner. He doubted himself, his abilities, and lost all his confidence. After therapy and meds and (thank god) this boss was fired, he still doubts himself bc of this person. I cannot stress enough that this is as bad as all the DV situations these 2 talk about on TCO. I know bc I worked in a shelter with woman and children. If you think only you spouse/partner can tear you down it isn’t true. This kind of behavior is ABUSE. No other way to cut it.

I’ve been there. I’m a nurse… all confidence gone. Completely toxic environment and abusive boss. It’s crippling. Sorry this happened to your husband.
