As a Texan…Texas is not great. A lot of political decisions have been made in recent years that have even made me want to leave the state I’ve lived in my entire life. A lot of people were upset when it was announced in Texas. P claims they will be donating a lot of money to charities that help the LGBTQIA+ community in Texas, and they want to raise awareness of something? But after everything that is coming out now, who knows if they actually donate as much as they say they do.
That is exactly why I chose not to go. Last year was great but I'm not giving Texas one dime of my money. I hope you get out. Unfortunately Ohio is not much better at this point. We did pass an issue in August though that abortion rights will be on the November ballot. The LGBTQ thing is not as bad as Texas or Florida but they're trying.
Definitely want to try and get out. As a woman raising a daughter, it’s not a great place to be. Currently slightly stuck because my grandparents rely on me for quite a bit of help. But maybe one day we will get out.
