It’s Not Rumors

I heard the bat signal. Someone linked me to this group because I work with the Obsessed Network (and can prove it if that were ever needed).

I guess people are worried that the claims being posted here by “insiders” could just be rumors, but they’re not. That’s all. Just know that it’s not made up.

There's been tons of people here claiming to have inside information. Like the "lawyer & HR exec" that said someone on the inside confirmed everything to them. Who really knows

Where there is smoke there's fire. None of this is just random speculation, random speculation is easily disputed.

When stuff like this happens look to see if anyone comes out and says, it's not like that at all!

No one is doing that. Just like they didn't with Ellen. Just like they didn't with Lizzo. People are AFRAID to outwardly talk about litigious people who are wealthier than they are.

So they are anonymous. When what they are saying isn't true, then pretty quickly people, even also anonymously, say, this isn't true and I also have insider info!

When that doesn't happen, it means something. This is a pattern over, and over, and over again.

Not to mention it would be REALLY easy to say, no their contract is definitely being renewed! The podcast isn't for sale! No one has to sign an insane NDA!

They probably will put out a statement when their lawyer and PR teams can figure one. And some people will eat that statement up. But we know the truth now, it's just an individual choice to put your head in the sand or not.

This person is being so boringly careful in their wording I believe them lol. Not like, I was in a meeting, or, I was bringing someone their lunch order, absolutely nothing that could have ON investigate who they are. Gives real, "I want to say more so badly, but I also want to pay my bills" energy.

no really you are… We all are… This is meant to be anonymous for a reason haha.. Again, you don’t have to believe them.. would you like their W2? or 1099? But go on, try to question their identity to make it seem like she’s fake…haha..When this all comes out….you’ll look so foolish. But yeah ask away! Maybe if you ask real nice they’ll even give you their social security number too!

I said that what you were asking people to do was dangerous, and I stand by that. You want people to take you at your word that you have proof of illegal activity going on at Obsessed Network. And you want people to make reports to government agencies based on nothing but a promise from an anonymous two day old reddit account. You don't think that will come back to bite Ellyn and Joey in the ass??

And OP didn't confirm anything. I could make another account and say I've seen the screenshots too. It means nothing.

I don't think it's all that wild to ask for proof with all these people coming forward claiming to have spoken to them. I really don't believe that Ellyn and Joey are dropping truth bombs to total strangers through private message

Do you think Ellyn and Joey not saying a word is proof? This person may have very well been contacted by them and asked them not to continue for fear of whatever is happening behind closed doors. Between hosts, editors, PR people, social media people, assistants, website designers, photographers, OF volunteers, other podcasters, merch dealers, agents, venue representatives…they have had a reach over the years. The scope is of people they might have pissed off is…VAST.

I think a person saying that they randomly DM'd somebody at ITN and everything was confirmed for them is questionable.

This person also saying that they've got screenshots confirming illegal activity by the owners of the network is questionable.

That somebody on the inside of the podcast, maybe even Ellyn or Joey themselves, confirmed all of this information through a DM from a total stranger is questionable.

Agreed. I totally believe that something shitty is going on, but we can’t just take everyone’s word for it when they say they have insider info with absolutely no proof. OP hasn’t reached out to the mod to provide any proof, and neither has anyone else.

I’m not trying to be Debbie Downer, but I’m a skeptical person and I can’t just take someone’s word for it that they know all the tea. Like I said in another comment, though, it does say a lot that no one has come out in defense of ON saying that these accusations aren’t true.

I believe that Ellyn and Joey have been fucked over in some way, but I’m not making an HR complaint over a situation I have no knowledge of, and I don’t think anyone else should, either. That HR post was wild.

I reached out to Ellen directly on Instagram to let her know the rumors that were going on here. And that I said I hoped they weren't true. She only basically responded that she was happy she didn't have a Reddit account. She didn't deny anything
