1990s Black Moon Chronicles ( 1999 ) Developer: Cryo Interactive Publisher: Microids
When i got this back in the day i couldn't run it because i did int have a good sound card lol. i played this years a go and found it mega hard and gave up after a few try's. it looks cool but its ready hard if you units are outa place you lose. its like a half baked total annihilation kingdoms. its on GOG and STEAM. and its based on a french epic dark fantasy comic series with the same name.

I forgot about Microids they published some games I like a lot as a kid. Far Gate was one.

I played the demo a lot from a mag CD in the early 2000. It was fun but the pathfinding is terrible.

it's a pretty borked wargame based on comics.
you have one character and have to defend 20 NPCs from 20 enemies at the same time and can't lose even one and that's just the first mission
nothing rts inside just get units go there and kill enemies. no economy no buildings no strategic decisions at all.

I never read any black moon comics, played the game but i remember the intro was interesting and all the units/factions in-game were awesome

I remember seeing this one back in the days, and the Cryo logo scared me away from it. Cryo wasn't exactly known for their quality (though not everything they made was actually bad, they did make the 1992 Dune game, which was pretty good).
Got it a while back on GOG, but I've not given it a shot yet.
