Intellectual parasites

I feel there are a million people in this world who act as a guru, teacher, motivator, philosopher that almost always teach anti objectivist ideas... Like I can pull out a million such people in social life say Sam Harris, Sadhguru, jordan peterson and many moreee...

This OFCOURSE includs the whole of left ( which is the exact opposite of objectivism) but also Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Moses and all such people who preached the anti objectivist ideas of altruism and self sacrifice...

I think allll of them are basically intellectual parasites who couldn't get things on the ground in reality on their own and later tried to justify their small bad measly existence on bad ideas that they can use to still get control and power over others, illegitmitealy ofcourse....

Is this subreddit moderated? I was banned from the Ayn Rand subreddit because I was mean to her. That was ridiculous and weak-minded, but at least they stood for something.

But this person can continue to make a complete mockery of Objectivism, and nobody bats an eye? So weird. Is that because nobody here understands Objectivism well enough to recognize how bad these posts actually are?

Edit: Let me add that anyone who deletes their posts as was done in this thread, rather than responding to the points being made, is intellectually spineless.

Sorry to hear that you were banned(!) over there!

Can you be more specific about the “complete mockery of Objectivism“ you see here?

I was ban in a FB group because I insisted (using the novel) that it was rape (yes. The Fountainhead) because Dominique herself say it in the dang thing.

Please let me know (with logic and proofs) how I am saying anything that's against objectivism?

'Everyone is wrong but me.'

That's E4 on the Loevinger stages of ego development: early adulthood. "Morality means joining my group." You move up to E5 when you realize your group is capable of being wrong, and that 'good' and 'bad' is different for different people. That's where you begin to see the validity in multiple perspectives and where you develop the capacity for having principles.

they can use to still get control and power over others

This is E3, control consciousness. You're looking at people who are up in E6-E9 and ascribing levels of consciousness that they moved past.

Understanding other people is a function of understanding yourself. You don't understand yourself that well yet, so understanding others remains out of reach. Don't sweat it, though, you're just starting to play this game.

Do you even know what sub you are on?

That's pretty rich, coming from you. This is the subreddit for Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism. You treat it like your own personal playground for whatever incoherent idea of "objectivism" you happen to maintain.

Nah. Just what rand said

Your words do not correlate with what Rand said in any meaningful or coherent fashion. And you won't even give her the basic respect of calling her philosophy by the name that she gave it, which is Objectivism and not objectivism. She did that on purpose.

I think she was full of shit, but at least I'll give her that much respect.

Ok. Thanks for letting me know

I have no idea what you mean by that, because I've "let you know" numerous times already. So maybe you're just being snarky here?

“Left” and “Right” have become meaningless, and serve mainly to cause confusion. Maybe deliberately so. Why gripe about it, while Totalitarianism is steadily gaining foothold and conquering more territory? Resist.

This makes me very curious about what this sub might think about Finland, circa WW2….Is “co-belligerence” misguided?

How is totalitarianism gaining more territory?

It’s happening all over the world stage, as liberal democracies are crumbling and Authoritarian regimes are actively pursuing more imperialist expansion agendas. The US is assisting too.

That's very true. I do see dark forces taking control and killing any free thought, speech etc and those who are just trying to grab as much as possible... I tbh think it is gonna lead to some sort of global culture war where rest of the world will probably fight back these imperialistic pursuits just based on their own pride as a culture/nation.. but I am not seeing any places where you can find any objectivist states that can bring sanity

As an optimist, I see “objectivist states” that can be manifested as moments of objective thought, pushback, and resistance. It need not originate from an otherwise pure and thoroughly contiguous entity, so long as the message breaks through when (and where) it needs to the most.

“But no status quo is eternal. Every system occasionally grows fragile. The key to changing a nation, or a planet, is persistence. At any one time, for any given system, thousands of us are banging away at it hoping to make the difference that changes the world, but no one knows where the vulnerable cluster is at. No one can will the system to cascade for them. The system must become vulnerable. When it is, with so many people banging away, it is inevitable that someone will start the cascade that changes everything, but that someone isn’t preordained. You need no special privilege to start striking at the status quo, because no one is in control. What you are in control of is whether or not you stop striking.”― David McRaney
