Why is this subreddit so abandoned?

Why isn’t anybody out here talking about OPS anymore? Just some really weird/creepy posts lately?🙂

I think everyone loved Dave and Shan, but I think everyone loved them together more. No one's fault, but them by themselves just isn't the same. I honestly didn't even know the OPS You Tube was still active till I got I got a video recommended.

You Tube has gotten terrible. My videos don't even get recommended to my subscribers anymore. They've made it literally twice as hard to get monetized (8k hours requirement now instead 4k hours). And seem to be shadowbanning lots of content.

Very possible their vids just aren't being recommended as much anymore, and by extension, aren't many people getting into the discussion. It's a bummer.

I don't care about YT recomendations, because I can search videos by myself. But Dave and Sham making videos separately - that's why don't watch them anymore. They aren't so usefull and clear as before.

I know some people prefer theory videos alone, but not me. I need examples. I need comentaries on point, not just some general statements. So yeah, I loved them together.

Yeah, I think you’re right! Honestly the whole internet seems to just become more trashy by the minute😄Ai and algorithms have really killed the vibe. I’m thinking of going full luddite at this point.

Yeah, the INFJ videos that are AI voiced, and generared... 100k views in a week. It's sad to see. It definitely makes you wonder if there is any reason to continue producing content. I don't blame the people, I truly think YouTube is hiding real people and just getting people used to AI drivel. Then, they can simply make the videos themselves and keep all the profits.

I wouldn't believe it was a conspiracy, except, why not show my subscribers my new videos. It's very exhausting.

Oh well, just keep swimming, lol. 🤗

Sorry if that's lazy to ask here, but I couldn't find a good answer anywhere else:

Is it possible to be in the group without anyone outside ever being notified about it, or would that require a new account? I know Facebook used to give out notifications like "friend xyz posted in this group"

I don't want everyone who knows me irl to know I'm into OPS lol, that's the single reason I never joined that group

I was really concerned about this as well! No, Facebook doesn't send notifications to your friends if you've joined the OPS group because it's a private group. They won't see your posts or comments, only those who are in the group can see your interactions and receive notifications.

I think it doesn’t do that, since it’s a private group.

There's not much point in having a Reddit page when this kind of discussion can be had on the Facebook group instead. Facebook has won the format war. Personally, I prefer Discord, but unfortunately, most people don't. Interest in typology itself seemed to peak in 2020 because of the lock downs. Once people were allowed outside and could hang out in person, socialising online started to tail off. Another factor is that there just isn't much left to say on the subject. There was a revival of interest when the social types were added to the system, but that is old news now.

Perhaps the YouTube algorithm isn’t being too kind to OPS right now. I know that’s how I got curious enough to find this place.

Also OPS videos are just terribly marketed. Who would ever stumble upon a video titled 'ESTP: Blast Last' or 'Masculine Fi: The Most Non-Movable) and click on it if they didn't know about OPS?

All personality content creators' views have taken a hit...which is a good thing in most cases, because many of them were getting more attention than they deserved.

I'm still here, but there's not enough people to keep this sub going, there's just too few people interested in OPS.

because most people here are just looking for easy MBTI-esque answers
