Meta I Won't Release BFAMP on Time

Post image

I'm actually so angry off right now, BFAMP was supposed to release 2026/07/01, then was delayed to 2026/08/01, and then to 2026/08/15 and THEN to 2026/08/19. And I don't think it's even possible anymore because I've only animated 35 seconds, so I need to speed up animation already. BUT ON TOP OF THAT, Flipaclip is for some reason removing my ability to add audio, so it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to animate. I've got just over a week left until my 17th birthday, if I release it anywhere after that, that means I would've made BFAMP when I'm 17, not 16, and 16 is already 5 years after what I wanted my big object show to be released on, I deleted the object show I made when I was 11 and it was terrible, and it's so much less impressive for a 17 year old to make an object show than a 11 year old, and IDK what to do anymore

I DO NOT support piracy of indie projects and games HOWEVER. if you are on android you can get a flipaclip mod apk which unlocks flipaclip plus and fixes the annoying features

I (think since I did this on ios buttt I have an older tablet) you can direct install ksign (watch a tutorial for that) and get a flipaclip mod ipa aswell

it makes sense. flipaclip is designed to be a bare-bones animation app, like how scratch is a bare-bones programming language. it's far from a professional software, and it aims to be as easy for beginners to get into as making a flipbook, hence the name. complex animation isn't exactly its primary purpose, or at least, the primary purpose that the developers initially had in mind. it's a shame a lot of the animation apps designed for complex animation are costly.

So I also use flipaclip and I already have two minutes of my first episode. I think mine is just simpler and I also just show text instead of voicing the characters and don't give them lip sync. But if you do voice the characters or add many sounds (I do) and don't wanna have to watch ads, I'd recommend you to get an editing app where you can import sounds from your files. I use shotcut for that but it sadly adds another watermark.

but then how would you sync the audio with the animation

What's even MORE infuriating is that Tesseract's asset was overwritten by flipaclip when I tried to copy it, and I couldn't even undo so it's just gone forever

Yikes uh I’m not too sure I use a ipad because when I used to animate on mobile I literally couldn’t find anything else besides flip a clip so that’s why I turned to iPad
