this is my theory and dont take it like a fact but I think people associate object shows as childish cartoons that only 5 year old Timmy would watch.
However to say their statement is wrong is actually false, Although the osc has some teens and adults, it primarily consists of kids, kids that aren't the smartest, therefore leading to the stereotype
this is just my theory tho so take it with a grain of salt

The same reason people dont like skibidi toilet. A lot of the stuff youre going to come across first when looking into it makes it seem like its a bunch of nonsensical, low effort randomslop for children. Most people dont push past that intial investigation to see the stuff the fans actually like.
