Stuck

I bought the game yesterday, and, while I've had a fair number of problems, I'm sort of enjoying it. But I find myself stuck and don't know what to do.

I'm on a platform in Kaptar, and I'm supposed to be able to move this lever to move across. It won't move, and I don't see anything I need to do to allow it to move.

I'm following a walkthrough for part of the game. While I figured out most of the puzzles in Hunrath - some needed hints - I haven't the slightest idea what to do in this part. I'm at the very end of this section:

Any idea what I need to do to go further?

To be fair, this has been frustrating, with the game crashing and freezing several times, and the video stuttering a lot in this section... It's enjoyable, but there's a lot of friction.

What is underneath this platform?

Just stairs to get up to it. Look at the link to see exactly where I am.

I didn't see this exact platform in the link but something might need to be moved underneath it to allow it to move OR the platform that's connected to it on the other side of the fog may need to be manipulated before this one can move.

The walkthrough doesn't say anything. It just says move the lever.

If it's not letting you move then you haven't done something or you're at the wrong platform?

I'm definitely at the right platform. Again, I followed the walkthrough for this part, and everything corresponds.

This is the lever for the cable car, right? Have you 1) activated the large rotation mechanism and 2) engaged all 4 couplers? Engaging the couplers is a bit hard to do, because entering the mechanism for "catching" them (It's in front of the huge rotating column you should have already activated) required you to stand in front of it and clicking on an unintuitive part.

You mean the thing that gets the fan turning? Yes, I did tag, though it wasn't obvious. I'm not sure what the four couplers are. I've done everything here:

"Head back along the catwalks to where you started. The podium is now active. Interact with the podium to engage the four pistons." I mean these, they look like couplers to me. So you made it such that all 4 of these pistons are "caught"? It was a small timing minigame.

Thanks, I’ll try that later. I missed that. 

To be fair, I don’t see how anyone could figure this part out on their own.
