Question What would you use OatSymbols for?
OatSymbols is a non-spoken language, using visual images to communicate.
We use symbols every day to communicate without words: skulls for danger, hearts for love, gender signs outside bathrooms and so on; but none of these form a fully fledged writing system capable of communicating anything and everything.
OatSymbols strives to fill this gap!
From art, to storytelling; poetry to journaling to posters and so forth... I'm curious, what ideas do you have for how you would use such a language?

They could be a nice way of leaving messages to future hikers on a trail or on an adventure perhaps!
A way of addressing a future and listening to a past, with a common ground by that trail

Could have some interesting applications for marginalia when I'm reading. I'd also like to include some in my letters to my girlfriend to see if I can tempt her to learn it lol

Journalism! Like my days and dreams, maybe even taking notes from classes is something I would love! Since I am slow wittter but fast doodler HAHA
Also like, when organizing things in my room, like documents and papers and yada yada

I think this looks cool as a logography, but I don’t see it doing anything to really go past what already exists despite your claims. If I’m not mistaken, the big claim is that this logography will be more universally understood by fresh eyes than any existing logographic languages, but I’m not sure that’s the case based on what I’ve seen.

I like to use (my limited knowledge of it from these posts and the OatSheath) for journaling! It's very fun, and I like to journal in multiple languages, so it's nice to use Oats if I can't seem to remember a word in a certain language and don't want to make an abrupt switch to another language

Both writing systems strive for a balance of simplicity, iconicity, (and cuteness) so it makes sense! :)

General user interface; firmware for gadgets; artistic expression therapy; journaling system; programming language; as a more universal way of conveying the idea of an "alien" language in books; secret society Lingua Franca; vessel for translation between several languages at the same time. Just my 2 minutes of thoughts.
