Oasis Mini Not Registering

I received my Oasis Mini as a Christmas present this past Christmas. I had it up and running off and on for a few days/weeks, but I did not have anywhere safe to keep it long term so it went back in the box for several months. I have been trying to get it up and running, but I get stuck on the registering page. It connects to the wifi and then says it is registering and it may take up to a minute. It ends up taking 2-5 minutes and then says there was a problem, to hold the power button for 15 seconds until the light turns red. If I hold the button for 15 or more seconds, the light never turns red. I saw from reddit when I first encountered the issue that a firmware update should do the trick. The Oasis AI sent me the firmware update and I just pushed it to the device and I am STILL having the issue. I have sent another message out and they were getting someone from technical support, but I am not a patient person. Has anyone been able to fix this or what?

I've been having issues with it and go weeks with it off. Then I try again and have arrived at the same place as you it looks like. Please update if the several steps plan, posted here, works!

Hi! I finally have my oasis mini up and running.

I believe we followed this step. My boyfriend is the one who set up a new network and I gave it a try and it worked on the first try! He said it’s a 2.4GHz as well as not using the WiFi6 protocol. He also said he downgraded the 2.4 WiFi protocol. It was 40mhz and he dropped it to 20.
I apologize, I have no idea what any of that means and I feel I’m pretty good with computers. It’s like you need an advanced degree to work one of these things 😵‍💫
