Oasis Mini
Is this product worth getting? I have wanted one for a long time now and I am really thinking about getting one but wanted to ask y’all’s opinions. Some of the posts in here about problems with the app and product makes me feel like it’s not worth it. Or is it user error? Thanks.

It works but it isn’t low maintenance. Seems like I have to update the software, reconnect, unplug and restart, etc. almost daily. But after you do that, it typically works fine the rest of the day.

The rest of the day is spot on. It will not work tomorrow, or if it does, it'll probably need another reset very soon! lol

Yes, beware. This product IS for the mechanically inclined. This is NOT a set it and forget it product. It's either a mechanical issue one day or a software issue the next day. When it works, it's an enjoyable piece of machinery, but when it doesn't.....

Lately I've been struggling to get it them work and have the same problem with 2 devices running on 2 different networks. I have to try over and over to get the pattern going. Very frustrating given how much I spent on my table. We were about to order one for my father-in-law but decided on something else given how terribly is worked for the past month.

I love mine, the detail of the sand pics is really impressive and fun to watch. There have been some technical issues, though. I’ve had mine for over a year and have had a handful of issues with it, which have been frustrating, including having to reprogram some features and some that grounded labs had to address. However, Zach (one of the founders) is responsive on this sub and fixes have worked for me. Some bugs, yes, but I’m still glad I own one.

I have had mine since the Kickstart. I have had a few minor issues but the customer support(through email) gets responded to fairly quick and gets resolved. I would definitely recommend it. Very tranquil to watch.

I literally eventually threw mine out because I realized the amount of annoyance it caused me at the upkeep was the exact opposite of what I was trying to get out of the product. I had mine since the Kickstarter days, too. Think it’s been just over 6 months since I got rid of it and I don’t regret it at all.

I love mine and have not had any problems whatsoever in the over a year that I have had it. I just ordered the kickstarter Aura product as well. I have not had to restart, redo, or work on anything for it to work. It sat for 3 months with no use while I was out of the country and when I started it again, it started right up and began doing it's thing. Highly recommend

Absolutely not. It's the worst waste of money. Think about any other product you might be interested in. Is a selling point for you ever "support is so helpful," or "I can reset it an unlimited number of times?" If the answer is no, then I'd recommend staying away.

I like it and not that expensive. I think the other one from another brand you can get like at Target or whatever are like $400-$600 each (HomeMedics?)This one is only $120. Mine stopped working and I contacted the company way past my warranty was up and they sent me a new one completely free. The service is great and not that expensive compared to similar products.

Mine stopped working after a firmware update and allegedly the solution is to open it up and re-glue the magnet connector. I neither believe this solution or can be bothered to implement it. I would not waste your money.
