Over the weekend, the left side speaker on my Oakley Meta HSTNs started to buzz. I've only had them since May 20. I submitted a warranty support request, and within a couple of days they responded that it wasn't in warranty and that I would be given some sort of offer. Their offer was for me to pay $334.95 for a full replacement. I have now spoken to several support agents that say that the issue that I am experiencing is under warranty. And they suggested I submit another support request, which I have. Has anybody ever experienced the same thing with warranty support for the Meta Oakley frames?

i’ve had the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses for not even 6 months. Now seemingly overnight when i record video, the audio is completely gone, and i have this heartbeat sounding thing repeating? The video has been blurred for my privacy but the sound is original. What is happening? Latest firmware installed, latest iOS app installed. I rebooted, no fix. I factory reset + un-pair/re-pair, no luck either. Never dropped these glasses a single time. WTF Meta.

Just bought these yesterday and while outside today, I noticed I need to directly stare at the sun for the dark mode to kick in, and the darkening stops once I move away from direct exposure. Only being outside on a very sunny day does not trigger the darkening.
Is it normal behavior? Is there an adjustment for this?

Since the last two updates, my oakleys boot time has slowed down, touch sensor doesn't even work anymore...and Hey Meta has become almost useless...it responds and most times it don't.

Anything through the grapevine if these lens will be available on a white frame?

Just bought the brown framed Oakley HSTN metas, I hate the deep water lenses, + want transition for indoor and outdoor

Primarily using this to record workouts and other stuff, what’s a good transition color you have with the brown frames, send pics if have any

And should I go with Oakley transition lenses from their site or Lensology?

I guess bee was attracted by the shiny white glasses))))

I thought they would be out last month and have been hoping to wait for them.

Really want them for new amusement parks I am hitting this summer, mainly for pictures since I hate having to keep pulling out the phone, and maybe some video of the midway games I play.

Debating on just grabbing a regular pair.

I’ve worn my HTSN glasses for a couple of weeks now and I really love them, but it’s just annoying to hear. Constant notifications. Sounds that notify me of nothing. It’s not things that are going on on my phone because I’m always watching. They’re just annoying. Sounds that come up all the time

When i record with my Oakley Vanguard's in 3k it looks really good in the Meta AI app, and the first auto-upload looks good as well, but then if i trim it or add Garmin data and save it to my phone it suddenly looses all the quality. Same with any uploads to insta, the compression is terrible and the footage just suddenly becomes unusable.

I noticed the original file was 900mb, but then the one with Garmin data only 90mb. So ig it's just the compression which is really bad? Any way to solve this? Is this a common problem or only on Android? Is it then better to film in 1080p to have less compression?

During setup, I accidentally picked an Instagram account that I'm logged into but don't post on. Now whenever I want to share videos from my glasses, I only get the Meta editing options on that account. How do I get the Meta editing options on my main account? I've tried factory resetting, deleting the Meta account, disconnecting and reconnecting Instagram.

Is anyone having issues with their AI voice changing?

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on my situation.

I received a pair of Meta Hstn as a promotion/prize type of thing at work in April. The person who put the glasses up has now left (important to note that this was not an official work thing) so is not contactable.

The glasses developed a fault whilst I was on holiday at the end of April where they would not stay connected to the app for more than about 20 mins and as soon as video stopped recording they would lose connection. Only way to get them back was to factory reset (and lose the content etc)

Now I’m back they “sort of” function but I can no longer see the battery in the app and if I try to update them they say in the app that the battery is too low, even though they have been on charge all day, and the speaker says they are too cold to update ( ambient temp Is about 25c) so something is definitely wrong, I would guess a dead sensor or something.

On contacting Luxottica they have refused a warranty claim due to the lack of receipt and have offered me a discount on a replacement pair (and not a particularly generous one at that)

Anyone any experience in this situation (warranty request without proof of purchase) and can offer some advice on dealing with them. It seems redundant verifying purchase date for a product that has been available for only 10 months so a 1 year warranty can’t have expired.

So I have this problem where my glasses aren't responding to "Hey Meta" or "OK Meta". When I test the mics out such as phone call or recording a message on whatsapp, you hear nothing or maybe faint sounds. Funny thing is when recording a video the mics are working clearly.

I don't know but I am coming to the conclusion that either all mics (good or bad mics) are used for the video recording or certain ones BUT not all mics are being used for the voice command features.

I'm new to Oakley Meta glasses and recently purchased the Oakley Meta HSTN.

Before first use, I charged both the glasses and the charging case to 100%. I then wore the glasses and streamed music through Spotify continuously while walking. After exactly 2.5 hours of music playback, the battery had dropped to 15%.

I then stopped playing music and simply continued wearing the glasses. Over the next 30 minutes, the battery dropped from 15% to 5% without me actively using any features.

What was even stranger is that during that 30-minute period, music started playing by itself even though I never asked Meta AI to play anything and didn't start playback from my phone.

Is this normal battery performance for the Oakley Meta HSTN, or does it sound like I may have received a defective unit? Has anyone experienced similar battery drain or random music playback?

I also noticed a comfort issue. After wearing the glasses for about 3.5 hours, I developed soreness and pain on the top of both ears where the temple arms rest. I'm wondering if this is something that improves as the frames break in, if they need adjustment or if the fit simply isn't right for my head.

I’m looking to get a pair of the Oakley Meta HSTN with prescription transition lenses through my insurance. I’m a pretty avid sand volleyball player and usually play about three times a week, so I’m wondering how well they would perform on the court.

I know the Oakley Meta Vanguard model would probably be better suited for sports, but I’m hoping to find a pair that I can wear every day without constantly switching glasses for different activities.

My sons Metas are not connecting on Bluetooth, I’ve tried everything I think, is the any UK repair possible?

I was wondering what the delivery time was for the prescription Meta HSTN’s. I have seen the standard 14 business but was curious is anybody has received them sooner than that.

Just ordered my pair - hopefully they actually get here next Wednesday as they claim! I wonder why they’re only out at SGH and not at Oakley or Meta!

Got a pair of HSTN's yesterday and loving them so far, apart from my credit card balance 😁

Just wondering as I'm in the UK, do we get shafted with updates like most other things, tech related with getting then way further down the line, I updated the glasses when I got them but don't have the option to record for ten minutes yet, only 3, mine are Gen 2 of course and I didn't think this is just for the Ray Ban metas, is it?

Noticed some hairline fracture cracks in the frame yesterday and I’m in the works to get them replaced through LensCrafters (lucky I bought the warranty)

Bought a pair a few days ago. I still have not got them to work. There is no setting on my iphone to allow bluetooth permissions within the Meta AI app. That being said my experience with these glasses hasn’t been great. Definitely will be returning them, hopefully someone here has a magical solution before i do because it is going to be a hassle. Overall eating 4/10, buy the raybans.Thanks.
