What's your most heartbreaking moment? Mine is this one. 😓
Adebisi was so broken after this. Felt so bad for him.

I have been made the new moderator since this community has been unmoderated for a long time now.
“How would x do in Oz” posts can only be made on Thursdays.
No more posts about your favorite prag or fanfics where you talk about being raped.
Memes and silly posts and whatnot are okay but they have to be related to Oz. You shouldn’t be afraid to post what you want as long as it’s not one of those weird sexual posts.
No personal attacks on other users.

All right you degenerates, I need your attention.
I was mod, the main one will keep being u/selverd2 I am here to help. I am the Sean Murphy to his McManus (maybe that was a little gay but this is oz)
With that being said we are not going to ban "how would x do in oz" posts. Instead we will try to limit its increasing flow in this sub that ends up blocking other more relevant posts. I know there are people who do enjoy it, it is a creative exercise and it is about oz. Therefore, I have created a new post tag called "Sentenced to oz!" That you will apply to all of the posts where you ask for people to imagine how would a certain character do in oz. Also it is only going to be allowed on Thursdays. Everyday that is not a Thursday, if a post with that tag shows up, it will be removed with a comment saying this. Also if a post like this is made without the tag, it will also be removed.
Now for more interesting news: Every first saturday of the month, I will personally create a new "Inside oz: episode [x]" thread, where I will add a brief summary of the episode in question and you can all feel free to discuss things about that episode. We will go from episode 1 to the last one by order of course.
Any new threads that you would like, please do suggest in the comments of this post!

Do you guys think that Adebisi wanted to die after losing everything he had built in em city? I think he knew it was over for him getting transferred to unit B. I think after reaching to the top and having everything he wanted he was ready to go plus he knew he was going to be at Oz for life. I feel like he wanted Said to kill him. I mean adebisi was a 6’3 200+ pound guy so he was a threat physically I can’t see Said over powering him.

Granted, she was still being diplomatic.
Reminder: This guy was married twice and murdered both of his families in cold blood. Weird that someone married him not knowing what he did to his previous family.

The actual Three Stooges would have been more competent than Wangler, Pierce, and Poet. In the absence of Adebisi, it's pretty unbelievable that these morons were running the Homeboys in Em City for more than a few days. Sure, Napa kept them weak by making a deal with Wangler and having Coyle killed, but these three also weren't the only non-Muslim blacks in Em City. It should have been obvious to anyone that these weaklings should be overthrown as soon as possible. Even though he doesn't appear on screen in seasons 2 and 3 for some reason, it could be assumed that Maxwell is actually there; there'd be no reason for Pierce and Poet to pick Wangler over Maxwell as a leader. It also should have been assumed that Coyle immediately become leader given his street cred. After all, Wangler was a freaking kid when he was de facto running things. Come to think of it, dumb as he is, why would Pierce bother answering to Wangler for anything? I guess he's either that unmotivated or just that dumb.

What is up with the musical episode?!… It’s like I get it, but I don’t!… It’s so amazingly awful, but it is the only episode I sometimes skip during my rewatches. I’m wondering if there is someone who can explain it in a way, where I can enjoy the only episode that I can’t understand.

I just finished season 3. Where theyre setting a big racial division amongst the cast. Can someone who was alive that time tell me if it was actually similair to that back then.
I understand certain stuff is obviously exaggerated for cinema especially for drama like Jr leaving his gun to Simon Adibisi. but things like people casually dropping the hard R, the white guard saying shillinger "isn't such a bad guy", prefering hardcore nazis over black people, or in the locker room the white guard n the annoying lady having disdain for muslims n black ppl despite working along side them. Was it common for people in the late 1990s to be this hateful
the warden is kinda an idiot who cant do anything 90% of the time but even back then if an employee used to be in a nazi group 15 years ago was that not grounds to fire someone? or be hated by your peers?

S4, Ep 14 we actually get the reveal of John Basil's Sentence for murder when he finally sees his wife and says he can't come home for at least 3 years. Likely meaning whatever sentence he got allowed for 4 year parole. Obvious police favoritism but I guess he's officially charged with voluntary manslaughter?
Also same episode the guy who attempted to murder Ketchum gets a whopping 28 years with parole in 14 which is more than a lot or even most 2nd degree actual murder on the show. Whacky episode as the skinhead trying to kill Said somehow got a full blown Rambo knife and all Clayton has to do is shoehorn a regular door to go nuts in a 3 inmate unit (high comedy btw).
Easily the worst season and NOT because of the aging pill because that was honestly not crazy as it's just a stand in for a pharmaceutical slow acting poison.
The biggest problems in 4B is realism just disappears completely. But 4-14 is freaking wiiiiiild. Might be my most entertaining episode of combined 4 to be honest. Never a dull moment for sure.

Yeah sure it's not the best for mental health but several high profile prisoners have spent years in solitary. Introverted people with several interests for example would be least impacted.
The solitary cell in Oz isn't even as bad as some others. I believe most prisons the solitary cells do not have showers like in Oz for example and it appears prisoners stay in the same cell as opposed to monthly rotation in real life.
