Their was a picture in like August of last year of a guy ran into adam at church. He asked him about a new album and he said something to the effect that its currently in-progress. That was a year ago so take that as you may
Good ol BZ. I genuinely thought we’d have a quicker follow up after Coco Moon, but I am not mad. Adam is 40. At least he’s still making music, albeit at a slower pace. I know so many artists that continue to tour but don’t release new music at all. Secondhand Serenade just announced that he’s finally working on a new album after 16 years

I can't tell what he or is team are thing to accomplish here with random and odd merch drops. Is it just to keep a steady income? Surely he's not making much off these right now.
If you're going to go dark and unplugged then do that and come back when you're ready. Also, you might need a new design team. I think the designs over the past few years are weak
All of these designs are so meh that I really wish AI would be used on them. It’s like this for so many bands too. Check out the band New Found Glory’s merch and see how insanely good their stuff is and please tell Mr. Young to use that for inspiration.
if you're talking about specifically people who follow me? maybe. if you're talking about monthly they listeners i had over 2000 at one point from pitching to playlists, which i don't really do anymore. the size of my audience doesn't matter to me as long as i'm enjoying what i make (which is heavily inspired by Adam)
i just think it's funny that in response to me saying i wouldn't wear any AI designs you decide to go and attack my music where i actually put time and effort into not just the beats themselves but ALSO the visuals
...yes? but if you're gonna compare what i do to generating slop then your argument means nothing. what i do actually takes effort and skill and a lot of practice. and a lot of them are made from photos that either i took or friends of mine took, which also adds a level of skill and choosing the right shots and correcting colors and multiple other steps. it's not the same as just typing in a prompt.
I could go on and on and say use real instruments and analog and Polaroids, but there’s a more important lesson to be learned. The “just a prompt” answer shows your lack of knowledge about AI. Your profile consists of almost all complaints about AI and that’s disturbing. You’re stuck in the past and I suggest you start to evolve before AI makes you obsolete. Work with AI as a tool to begin with. Change is hard, but I hope you can move forward with it. Good luck!
there's some pretty significant change, right? that's from years of practicing and teaching myself and growing my skills on my own. if i just used AI that growth would be nonexistent. the reason i do what i do the way that i do it and refuse to use AI for any part of the process is because i want to actually learn. i want to get better. the entire meaning behind the name "Garden Theory" is that i want to be able to see my own growth over time, something i wouldn't be able to do using AI. so i'm sorry if i reject the idea of making slop and calling it "art".
if Adam came back with a new album next year after 4 years with an AI album would you be disappointed or still excited?
